Will Roach Be In Khan's Corner For His Next Fight?

Lol calm down, Laz. They'll be a month apart, just like they were recently for the Margarito and Maidana fights. The only difference now, is they've switched places. Khan will fight a month before Manny. No big deal.

Khan will probably fight in the U.S or have some assistant trainer such as Eric Brown in his corner if it is in the U.K.

 

Pac and co will not come to the UK.. it's out of the question. It would be completely insane to move everyone for 1 week and the upheaval it would cause.

I imagine all that will happen is Khan will fly back to the UK with just over a week to go. Roach will stay with Pac, then a few days prior to the fight Freddie will fly over, be in the UK for a day, then fly back. It's not like Khan is going to be doing a great deal anyway in that final week. if memory serves me correctly they have done something similar to this before for Khan but I can't recall off the top of my head the fight it was

Khan and Roach have an understanding that Khan plays 2nd fiddle to Pacquiao and Khan clearly gets on with that situation like the model professional he is with no issues , in fact its kind of like Khan enjoys the fact he follows Pacquiao around takes what he can from training along side him , i mean who wouldnt .

I think Roach is gonna have to be prepared to do 1 of 2 things , ask Pacquiao to come to England for 7 - 10 days , or join Khan a couple of days before fight night to put the very last finishing touches to camp and provide him with his corner

freddie has already complained that he wants pac in wild card for at least 6 weeks leading up to the fight. i'm sure he'll find a way of switching. in fact it is good for both cos i'm sure khan and pac will spar alot cos of the same schedule. pac will be set to face a speedster so khan makes sense.

 

he'll probably send his assistant eric brown who himself is a great coach.

i wonder why brown doesn't start his own gym by now, he has been roach's assistant for years and has trained guys like pac and toney, roach used to only wok with pac on the pads and then sparring after that eric brown used to do the rest.

 

Highly doubt pacman will come to the uk. He is THE MAN. Amir is a man, amir ant nothing compared to pacman-I'm talking exposure,money,brand etc etc. Once pacman retires amir can be main man. Until then, get in line, watch and learn son
