He's 19 and 7-0 at the moment, and to beat the record he must become a world champion by August 22, 2025.

I think there's a good chance he ca do it. He certainly looks like a talent, very impressive so far.

lol have you not heard of him? . Don't know why he's under the radar tbh because he was a class amateur and has ticked the boxes so far as a pro, listen to what Bricktop Warren says about- he views him as a special talent.

Lots of prospects face meagre opposition but his has been actually dire so far. Would need to step it up significantly. Miles away from a world title, very talented fighter though. Lovely to watch.

    He has to improve dramatically.
He's a southpaw potshot counterpuncher that would get led into a trap imo.
As soon as he comes up against a decent pressure fighter or skilled orthadox who can set up counter punchers with a bit of pop then he will unravel imo.
U can tell that at this point he just hasn't got the depth of skill lvl needed.
He's a standard southpaw counterpuncher. The type that every amateur coach starts of with when he shows a young kid how to learn to box.
That's my opinion. I don't know RBS and I certainly don't have an agenda.
Maybe he can learn a load of new skills and I hope he does but I don't see anything special that makes me think 'he's going to win a world title' good luck to him tho

Would have to see him go in against a live body first.... he's faced extremely limited opposition so far so I'd say to become a world champion within the next 18 or so months would be an almighty stretch. Can't see it myself.

Agree about him needing to step up. He should be looking to face someone like a Kane Baker/Youssef Khoumari/Jordan Flynn next.

Genuinely given his opposition he’s two or three away from that level. That’s fairly solid domestic level, he’s not even fought Area level guys yet.

I remember when Sammy McNess said he wanted a World Title fight in the London Stadium

Disagree I think they are area/english title level and Barney-Smith has far too much skills for them. Plus they aren't punchers

Agreed they're about English level. Frank won't put him in with them yet though. First domestic will be a knockover imo.

What is it with Royston fighting Latin Americans, in particular Colombians and Nicaraguans. Scheduled to face another Colombian on Saturday, that'll be the 4th Colombian he's faced!

So far in 12 fights he's faced 4 from Nicaragua, 3 from Colombia, and 1 from Brazil, Mexico, Romania, Spain, UK

Seems like Warren is doing what he did with Anthony Yarde with Hungarians. But with Barney-Smith it's Colombians and Nicaraguans!

It seems to go in circles with the opponents and where they come from, see more coming from India now too. Tbh I don't care where they are coming from but when choosing an opponent at the very least it should be someone who will teach the boxer something...
