I highly doubt he'll ever get back on top. His style is too easy to figure out for an elite boxer. He needs a new trainer but even so I don't think hes championship caliber. Will he ever win another belt?
He's only 29 and it's not really a impossible mission to win a title. He just neesd to get motivated again and train hard.I heard he changed trainers anyway. But realistically IMO it is only down hill for him from now on. WHO NEX!!??
He has a puncher's chance and considering how weak the heavyweight division is right now, i can see peter beating one of the champs. Possibly that big hairy beast valuev
He just got a new trainer. Let's see how he looks with the new trainer first. If he shows up to his next fight fat he is finished. Peter's problems only started when he signed with Don King and brought in Stacy McKinley as a trainer who is horrible.
Sure he will. This content is protected This content is protected Well f*ck, I'm only copying a link to this: http://blog.surgepromotions.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/wiener_trophy_2.jpg
...Burger King (of the world)...successor of James Toney...but he will figure out that it's hard to beat a Cuban doing his thing...Solis has a great shot at that title himself...
yes he can only if he maintains a good weight and regains that fire,, it's a big if but yes he could under those conditions imo
Fourty I have been very critical of Peter in the past but his Team was to blame for a lot of his problems McKinley is a **** trainer and demands no respect or discipline from his fighters at all. He is a joke. I am willing to look at Peter with an open mind now since he has a new trainer. Also, I think Peter was too carefully matched early in his career they were trying to get a title shot with as little risk as possible it reminded me in a way of the way a young Gerry Cooney was moved up the ranks. They should have tested Peter a little more before putting him in there with Wlad Klitschko. He can come back if he has the desire but that is the question.
if peter's willing to drop 30 pounds, dedicate himself to the sport, and work with the new trainer, then he has a shot. probably not a good one though.
Why not?? the version that fought wlad that was in good shape and motivated gave wlad a very tough fight
No he won't, he lacks the mentality and desire to do so. Sad part is that I know he has the tools but the desire isn't there, that's what separates great fighters from normal ones. If you can't come in top shape for every fight then why do this? Only chance I'll give him is Valuev but he still gets robbed in that one if it happens. Valuev and his team will most likely wait for 3 or 4 more fighters to beat Peter before taking it of course.
