Sam Peter is one the most powerful fighters in the division today, his Jermey Williams knockout was a our first real taste of what the "Nigerian Nightmare" can do with his power.

Sam has been deprived of his chance to show us what he can do in the ring lately, by fighting a defensive wizard like Toney. He also wasnt fully prepared to fight Mccline, given only 10 days to prepare for a guy whos 6'6 and a completely different fighter than Maskaev.

Will Sam Peter step up and blow away Maskaev with his power, or will Maskaev prove Peters power is overrated and take everything he has to offer?:bbb

Awesome power? You mean the same power that has never knocked out or really even hurt one single top 10 fighter? The same power that comes from looping illegal behind the head shots?

You can make excuses for Scam Cheater all day long, but really, he hasn't even come close to beating anyone in the top 25 much less top 10.

Peter has already shown his awsesome power , against Jermemy " half man/ half glass" Williams, Yanqui " KO'd in every fight " Diaz , Julius " crushed by Audley Harrison in like his 3rd fight" Long and Gil Martinez, etc, etc.

Peter has not knocked out anyone even remotely world class and the guys he has KO'd are know for having terrible chins. With exception of may be Sykes , and that is really pushing it, because Sykes has no power, is undersized and would lose to any top HW.

Maskaev is physically a complete different fighter than McCline. His style is also very different.

I think Peter will win by early KO.

I dont think Peter hits any harder than Rahman does, and has a worse defense. I think Maskaev can land and KO Peter. Rahman and Peter are acctually quite alot alike, the difference supposedly being Peter had an indestructable chin, and that is not the case. He can be hurt, and badly if Maskaev lands.

People before had a misconception that Peter would just walk across the ring take Maskaevs shots unfazed , and crudely slug Maskaev out. That is not the case, Maskaev can punch and can land threw Peters leaky defense.

Peter put Wlad on his ass 3 times, even if your the biggest Peter hater you must say he did make Wlad take a knee and it wasnt from illegal punch.

Peter has just been fighting guys that are hard to put down, Toney has a great chin and can roll with any punch. Mccline has pretty good chin, who Sam Peter only had 10 days to prepare for. If Peter knocks out Maskaev, Peter will finally get the props he deserves.

I agree, he will be ready for this fight with Maskaev. Im also perdicting an early knockout as well, Peter will be able connect with his overhand right and that will be the punch that lays Makaev out.

Supposedly Vlad has the chin of a wet paper towel, and those were rabbit punches, that are illegal. Other than land a few rabbit punches, he didnt do jack ****. Vlad will kill Peter in a remacth. Vlad still had the Brewster fight on his mind and wasnt commiting to his punches, with the belief that he couldnt hurt Peter ( like Brewster ) and take the chance of getting caught.

"Peter has just been fighting guys that are hard to put down."

No, Peter has finally started to not fight journeymen who make a living getting KO'd by prospects, and now he is not getting Ko's.

Watch the Peter/Wlad fight again, Wlad was hurt even before the legal rabbit punches. I understand you hate Peter and love Wlad, but the one knockdown Peter did get on Wlad was completely legal in anyone eyes.

Peter will prove his power against Maskaev and finally silence the critics once and for all, what will say if Peter destroys Maskaev?

Yes. I think Peter will learn from his mistakes against McCline.

Peter couldnt even destroy Charles Shufford. Any time / every time Peter has fought a fighter with some class , he hasnt scored a Ko. Maskaev has real good ring savy and defense, and knows when to pick his punches.

Maskaev didnt go 11 rounds against Tua ( who is more dangerous and would KO Peter early ) , with even score cards by having a bad defense.

Niether could Lamon Brewster, he actually lost to Shufford, and he beat Wlad and was champ for 2 years.

Peter will be ready for Maskaev, Peter is going to walk through Maskaev and really prove himself to his fans and critics alike. If Peter knocks Maskaev out will you give Sam Peter credit?

Glass-jawed Oleg is TAILOR-MADE to get starched early by Peter. He will be knocked out cold LONG before the bell rings for the 6th round.

I would give him credit, Maskaev isnt Mr. Iron chin at all. That is the only reason Peter even has a chance. Peter is a slow, crude, easy to hit, a one dimenisional , straight foreward fighter, with what turns out to be overrated power, and chin!

He is not bad , because he does have some punching power ( but over-rated power) and a decent jab. But many boxing fans have way over-exagerated his power , on behalf of his Ko's over glass chinned 2nd rate fighters. It turns out Peter's chin is not what it was made out to be, and Maskaev does hit much harder than Mccline BTW. So, Peter is going to have to be more careful going on the attack, Maskev can hurt him.
