Will Sam Peter show his awesome power against Maskaev?

Maskaev might have more power, but he doesnt have the chin Mccline has either. I really believe Peter will come out with a huge KO victory, he has been fighting tough guys with good chins lately so this might be a breath of fresh air for Peter.

If Peter does lose this match I will be shocked, Peter has alot to prove to his fans and critics alike, I promise you he wont dissappoint.:yep

 

I guess them Roids gave him much needed life in that fight, but Mccline usually comes out strong in title fights like he did against Bryd and Valuev, I heard he was giving it to Valuev before the injury.

Peter had a bad night, which is understanble seeing that didnt know who his oppenent was to last minute. I think he trained and sparred with fighters that fought like Maskaev, not Mccline. Peter will win because hes the tougher and stronger fighter.

 

This is true, while your never done in this weak heavywieght division, it will be tough for him to recover from such a devastating loss. Thats just hope hes ready to go to war with Maskaev and make us proud, his power will be on display 2-2-08.:good

 

Every great fighter uses dirty tactics to win, hes no different to all the greats that came before him. Ali- holding and hitting, Wlad- laying wieght on back and neck, Holyfield- blatant head butting, Ruiz- excessive holding, Lewis- leaning on back and neck, theres fouls in every sport why should boxing be any different?

 

Headbutts aint as dangerous? just ask Mike Tyson and Rahman and see what they have to say about that, it helped to cause them both to lose. Everybody I named used these tactics to help win them there matches, what Sam Peter does is no different and I think you know that.

Peter has improved greatly in his fighting style, his jab is good and his body work has greatly improved. Peter is becoming less crude with every match he fights, lets just hope his improvement continues for the sake of the heavywieght division.

 

You make good points, but I have answers to both. Wlad I still believe does have a glass jaw, Peter just turned 25 when he fought Wlad which means he probably was too green to fight a guy like Wlad. When Peter had Wlad hurt he smothered his best punches, and Wlads clinching proved to be very effective against Peter as well. I think Peter could and will beat Wlad the next time they fight, but time will only tell if Wlad/Peter 2 ever happens.

As far as Toney goes he has a damn good chin that some of the best couldnt knockout, but Sam Peter was the closest IMO. Toney rolls with most of his punches which takes alot of the force out of them, Toney took Rahman, Holyfield, and Ruiz' best and didnt go anywhere, so its tough to really question Peters power when fighting a guy like Toney.
