    No. Lol. They have Top Rank, Dibella, Goossen, Shaw, ect in their back pockets. HBO will remain although for the first time they have a truly competitive rival.

    HBO's original programming is still tops in the industry so that'll keep them very profitable for a while. That said, there's no doubt that they will clearly lose the Sports battle with Showtime unless some really drastic measures are taken...which I don't foresee happening as HBO seems content to de-emphasize Boxing going forward.

    What does CBS have to do with Showtime vs. HBO?

    Unless your claim is that promotions on CBS stations are the difference for Showtime not losing horribly in the ratings war...?

    True beating HBO in boxing is not the same thing as putting them out of business.
