Will Showtime release the real ppv number if it was 700k?

Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza has announced that it will withhold upcoming PPV buy rates due to the controversy surrounding the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana PPV. Espinoza told boxing scene.com that the buy rates will only be released if the event sets a PPV record.

ESPN Deportes says 700K for Mayweather-Maidana 2, Will they sweep it under the rug and make up a rough estimate which wouldn't look bad?

Yes they will. SHOWTIME isn't a cheap company to hide their numbers for one PPV. The numbers have been out for days now and countless sources already confirmed it. You're just a ******ed loser who wants to stir hate among fellow abominations like yourself.

Espinoza says he’ll only release PPV figures if they are record breaking. I agree with his premise that it does take away from the event, but part of the reason people are curious is because of Mayweather consistently talks about his massive PPV numbers. Granted, even if the PPV numbers aren’t meeting the fans expectations, they are still far greater than any other boxer out there now and that includes Manny Pacquiao.

So, Mayweather is part of the problem and if Espinoza wants people to focus just in the ring, he needs Mayweather to do the same.

 

you can only spin it to a point, for example, for 610k, it; less than 700k, just to get that 700k number out.

or all the numbers arent in yet, but they might hit 700k, if they wait long enough. of course long enough is vague.


but they cant claim something they know is outright false.

for example real hard number is 690k. they cant round it out to 700k. that's false claim.



the problem with the rematch, it;s too low there;'s no point spinning it.

somehow, expinocha knew flopjr will choose madona rematch as the next fight and he feels it;s going to tank and decided he wont be able to spin it . so just announce they will no longer releasing ppv results.

save them from humiliation.

First it's not 700K. That's a ******* made up number. Dan Rafael numbers are usually in the ballpark. Dan happens to work for ESPN. *******s have no credibility, absolutely NONE.

I don't see why not. I think Floyd's numbers have dropped because he's fighting twice a year as opposed to once. Plus, too many PPVs too close together. That, and his numbers should've dropped anyway. Considering all of the other PPVs are doing 400k tops, Floyd's and Pac's numbers are still good.

 

The PPV model is beginning to fail with the promoters and fighters greed along with the distributors(HBO and SHO) allowing these horrid undercards and undeserving main events to be shoved down our faces at ridiculous prices.
Enough of this **** and we fans have to begin boycotting this garbage by refusing to buy unless it's fights are what we want-not what the promoters want.
I still have not seen the Mayweather fight and really don't care to.
