Or is he just not that good? That's how you gotta approach Hopkins at this point. You have to go out there and beat him like he's an old man on the street. Hopkins must have never seen Bloodsport. Anyway... Can Shumenov do this? VOTE...
That's a weird question, I'm fully confident that he doesn't have the ability to do so. The old men on the streets would shatter his obvious glass.
old man is gonna school shumenov grandad style...shumenov struggled with campillo, hopkins is levels above campillo....easy with hopkins, leaves the kid swinging in circles...shumenov is a one dimensional fighter
That's what I always say. These unfortunate souls live in between martial arts movies and pro box fights and so does Beibut Shumenov. The throwback who is in excelent condition will make him feel uncomfortable, meaning that he really doesn't belong to boxing, back to the streets then.
In reality, Shumenov seems pretty slow, relatively predictable, and not too hard to find. Movement will give him fits. But Hopkins is old as hell. Shumenov can't let this old man set the pace. He needs to beat him like an old man on the street!!!!!
Hopkins has an uncanny ability to snakecharm opponents into fighting at his pace. If Shumenov can press the pace the entire fight, he might pull it off. I have to pick Hopkins in this fight, though. Shumenov has improved since the Campillo fight, but he's still relatively inexperienced and that plays into Hopkins ability to befuddle him and slow the pace to a Hopkins fight.
