Frank ****** still makes the most exciting/monumental fights.

    Close the thread.

So far in 2012, based on fights that have happened and been scheduled, Froch vs Kessler is No.1

Only 1 of them, Froch Kesler are casual fans, where boxing is a passing interest, ate bothered about. You seriously think the bloke in the pub is bothered about Rees Broner, Bellew Chilemba?

Hearns will not deliver top domestic showdowns.

I would say there was only one fight last year that caught the casuals immagination and that was Haye vs Chisora, but after that the biggest fights were Froch vs Bute and Brook vs Hatton. Burns va Mitchell sadly went under the radar.

Fights involving two brits that would be bigger than Froch vs Kessler would be Khan vs Brook and Haye/Price/Fury. Perhaps also Froch vs Clevery but I can't imagine W*rren wanting the fight to happen on Hearn/Froch's terms which is how it should be. Froch is the bigger name and ticket seller and they have a bigger an more financially rewardig TV playform.

You mocked the eliminators but they are payong dividends. Brook is fighting Alexander which is a great fight, Bellew is one fight away from Chad Dawson. Rees got the fight with Broner partly because of his mandatory position with the WBA.

Will Hearn make the big domestic fights that cross over this year. Probably not but he has a better shot than any other promoter. Brook vs Khan is more likley than any of the Heavyweights clashing.

At the end of this calendar year, I bet the domestic fights we will be recalling are not on Matchroom cards.

What fights can any other promoter make thats bigger than Froch vs Kessler, which you said yourself is a crossover fight? I don't see a bigger fight happening this year.

Can W*rren make a fight thats bigger than Burns vs Mitchell. It barley made a splash.

Can Hennesey & Maloney come together for Price vs Fury, or will Haye come to the table?

Will the Hattons even get a show on TV?

Remember this thread is about domestic showdowns, Froch Kessler is not one despite Kessler having a British Mummy.

All Frank has to do is line up Chisora Price, easily made, and Eddie Hearn can not match it.

The money he's (allegedly) offered for the fight suggests otherwise.

    Do you mean in 2012/2013?

If so Haye vs Chisora far eclipses any Froch fight.

    Bar Frampton vs Martinez

I see Martinez as being a live underdog who can punch 80-20 in Framptons favor

Burns/Vasquez is a unification featuring a British two weight world champion. The card is infinitely better than any card Hearn has put on. Ever.

They are two peas in a pod.

Its not going to be a big fight though. Same as Burns vs Mitchell. Thats what the OP was asking for right?

Froch vs Kessler is a bigger fight than Burns vs Vasquez.

    Marginally.

Frank more than makes up for it with a cracking undercard.

Do you seriously think that Eddie makes an undercard even close to Frank's?

    Nothing marginal about

Froch is in a different league to Ricky Burns, and Kessler is in a different league to Vasquez. TV Ratings, fight attendences, US TV intrest, newspaper coverage. Bigger names, bigger purses and bigger fight.

Cleverly vs Kransqui isnt exaxtly keeping me awake at night. Kransqui is not in the top 15, and Groves is fighting an average fighter for the vacant European title.
