This IBF weigh in is really annoying. I'm a GGG fan but to be honest I don't mind what Jacobs did. I just find it annoying that the guy defending the belt is basically at disadvantage here.

If the limit is 160/147 or whatever it is once the fighter reaches that he can do whatever he wants IMO. Otherwise you're just putting the health of the fighters at risk.

You think it's fair that some guys blow up 15-20 pounds overnight?

    You really are an idiot.
The fight is for the IBF belt why would he become the mandatory and agree to fight in Brooks backyard if the belt is not going to be on the line?

If he can do this then kudos to him for being such a good weight cutter, it's part of the sport. I wish I would be as good as that, I have trouble getting to 200.6 limit.

YOU, sir, are the idiot. The IBF is on the line until the IBF weigh in, which can be skipped the day of. Spence might view a KO as doing more for his career than the least popular of the four major belts.

Do you expect Brooks to not put any weight on? He's the guy that killed himself to make 147, I think it's fair to say he'll rehydrate like hell. Hopefully both guys will get on the scales next day and we'll know.

This is meant to make it safer for the fighters.. it discourages them from dropping so much weight and keeps them from ballooning up in wt. while they are in between fights. Same as the 30 day weigh in. They have to be within a certain percentage to show that they are safely losing the weight. I think they need to implement a maximum percentage that the fighter can cut in order to make a wt division. Like they do in high school wrestling here where in from.. this will ensure guys are fighting in the division closest to their natural wt.. if we are really talking about fighter safety!!! Which I am all for..

Yeah but guys like Jacobs won't play by the rules (understandable) while a guy like GGG has to abide those rules, putting him at disadvantage. The biggest problem is that these rules put one guy at disadvantage.
