I just got done watching Lara and Hurd (fight of the year) and It had me thinking about a potential bout between Crawford and Spence. Like Lara, Crawford is a great southpaw, with great timing and counterpunching. And like Hurd, Spence is a great pressure fighter with an elite jab, chin, and inside game. Now, Crawford may be the better fighter but Lara is the more technical boxer ( better footwork, jab, and a little better at judging distance and can fight in all ranges). And Spence is basically Hurd 2.0 with more power and he does everything at a higher level than Hurd. I could see this fight ending very similar with Crawford trying to fight Spence but in the end endurance, pressure, consistent jab, strength, and power will win the day. Thoughts?
no, crawford is stronger at 147 then spence. spence best bet would be to move up to 154 and call crawford up. The weight cut will catch up to spence.
dont agree. spence hit ugas with the same devastating hooks from start to finish. never lost steam. actually got fiercer as the fight got to boiling. hes in his weight.
Yeah just like Hagler vs Leonard was similar to Frazier vs Ali. Also like Sugar Ray Robinson vs LaMotta is similar to Lennox Lewis vs David Tua... All very similar comparisons.
Two fight that can’t compare. Hurd was never that great and only thing that has helped him has been his size. Last time I checked neither Crawford or Spence eat punches in hope of wearing the opponent down.
These two and their promoters are what is wrong with boxing. This has been one of the most anticipated fights in boxing for years. The difference is that Lara is pillow fisted, while Crawford is not.
