Playing devil's advocate a little here, but assuming Wilder and Fury matchups couldn't be made back then, who would you replace those 6 fighters with on your dream recent AJ CV? Intrigued if it will be any better.

The heavyweight division is in the toilet. So every match is a joke compared to the 90s heavyweight division. Also that isn't the point. The point again is AJ has yet to face anybody who wasn't old or a hack. Deontay Wilder has yet to face anybody who isn't old or a hack. It is just funny to see people change their stance on who is good, old, or overrated when it comes to the fighter they like. Bermaine Stiverne isn't good and has yet to face anybody but you can say that about every current heavyweight.

I agree with all those points, fair enough. Although I give Whyte and Parker more credit than you do. They may not be a world beater, but they're durable enough despite their limits. Seconded on Stiverne being no good, and I can't see him getting another title shot, to reference the thread title.

Surprised he hasnt been ranked by the WBA to set up a WBA title clash with Trevor Bryan. Maybe they are saving that for Guillermo Jones. Stiverne seems to do well with the hokey pokey sanctioning bodies.

Another one who can’t make a point without attempting to elevate himself with insults and condescension, give it up lad you just look foolish and diminish the validity of your opinion when there’s no need.

We can all call on the ghosts of eras gone by whether it’s the 80s & 90s or the golden age of Ali, Frazier, Foreman & Norton in an attempt to rubbish today’s fighters.

We have to have a way of rating today’s fighters and unless you’ve got something better the Top10 rankings is how we do it. Both Stiverne and Martin should never have been near a Heavyweight World Title belt, that they can name themselves as former champions of the World is a disgrace. However the men who beat them, Wilder and Joshua, have at least gone on to fight some credible challengers although Joshua has brought significantly more credibility than Wilder.

Whether you like it or not Whyte was ranked Nō4, Povetkin Nō3, Breazeale Nō6 & Takam Nō8 (remembering that he was a substitute after Pulev Nō4 pulled out) then there was Parker who was a current World Champion & Klitschko.

Who else do you think Joshua should have fought if not the men listed?

He looks so washed up. Was he sparring Chauncey Welliver?
