    In the near future:

PBF (rise, until proven otherwise I don't see betting against him)
Cotto (rise, even if he loses to Floyd, he will be great in doing it)
Pac (fall, I expect him to beat JMM, but his stretch will soon end)
Calzaghe (rise temporarily before getting out of the game)
Pavlik (rise for a year or two, then fall)
Wlad (fall, he will be KO'd soon enough IMO)
DLH (crash, he is already looking old and desperate)
Mijares (rise, young and talented, he will be here for a while)
Donaire (fall, overated here on ESB)
Marquez and Vasquez (fall, tough trilogies always take something)

Add any fighters you would like, please.

Relatively speaking, Donaire does not get overrated on this board. People don't diefy him as is the case with Mijares. And if I recall, Mijares struggled with a fighter that Donaire dismantled a year later despite having to kill himself to make weight and having to battle injuries.

Donaire's fans (mainly Pac fans) overate him as they do Pac. Mijares is the superiour talent, and in a few years this will come to wash.

Do they call him God like a certain Mijares fan does? If Mijares is so suprerior, he should have no problem proving it in the ring. Donaire said he is willing to fight anyone from 118 on down. Both these guys are about the same age, this fight should happen relatively soon. Personally, I don't see how Mijares is all that superior to Donaire.

i don't see pacfans overrating him. in fact most pick mijares to beat donaire. i see that donaire is quite famous here but because a lot of americans like his style.

No, but I haven't ever called him that. Mijares can do more things in the ring than Donaire, and I see more room for improvement also. He has versatility that will carry him further along in the game than Donaire IMO. And Im not just talking H2H, but future careers here.

I should say this: his win over Vic was overated. I think Donaire will go on to be a good, not great fighter.

What are you talking about? Donaire is bashed consistently in these boards and hardly mentioned by Pinoys as well. Mijares is the overhyped one ..yeah great great skill who went life and death with Maldonado two years ago..I guess he got better real fast.

Problem with ESB is theres too much pseudo experts analyzing every detail while failing to look at facts and RESULTS... Everyone can float like a butterfly and box like a GOD against C level fighters. I want to see them fight elites and get hit back and see what happens..like Diaz against an ancient Campbell who has no FUTURE at the 135 division.

But ohh wait youd analyzed that too along the lines of Nate boxed beautifully last night..he was God like..

    I agree with BigReg

And what was Mijares' biggest win, Farce? Mijares will have to stop fighting bums if he wants to be great. Navarro and Munoz are a good start.

Problem is people dont know ****! most follow a popular poster on their assumptions and 2 page pretentious analysis and run with it. Bunch of sheeps

Donaire is a talent.. he was a tremendous amateur...

this kid will show how fast his hands are..people are telling me hes faster than PAc handspeed wise...He'll showcase this real soon..hes just discovering his power as well..wonderful and versatile left hook.

Neither have big wins, I analyze young fighters by what I see. Im more impressed with Mijares than Donaire, simple as that.

We can say both of their wins are overated, thats fine. At the end of the day I see more potential in Mijares.

Chimba if you are referring to me, your out of line. I don't follow Amsterdam in any sense. I have butted heads with him on numerous occasions about his view on fighters from previous generations. I also think he overates Mijares, although I think Mijares will indeed be a great fighter.

that's what i thought at first. but after that, darchinyan had a good showing against two pinoy boxers. one of them was with gorres who most pinoys rated highly (even highly than donaire). the same gorres who arguably won his fight against montiel.

as darchinyan re-established his credibilty, the more donaire's win becomes impressive. i am not a big donaire fan but i can't help but be impressed with that victory. let's see if he can duplicate what arce did to hussein and judge him on that fight.

Nate fought the fight of his life, and beat Diaz fair and square. I rated Diaz very highly and still do.

Am I wrong for rating him highly? Pac took losses early in his career as well and returned to become what he is.
