:rofl :rofl who mentioned Amsterdam..No I like Mijares as well but to call Donaire overrated when his pedigree is excellent. Hes been bustin ass since hes 12 years old..older bigger guys.. I like his power and speed..you cant train for that..and hes young..If he harnesses that well watch out.. His PPV potential is huge because hes got star power. Mijares/Donaire is in a collision course Now in saying that I dont think Donaire is great by any means..hes got potential
I haven't ever bought into the Darchinyan hype. He has great power but he is crude and leaves himself in bad positions believing so much in his power. He is similar to Naz in that respect, although not as good a fighter. I respect your opinion and think you are a good poster, we will just have to see how Donair's career plays out.
So your telling me you were referring to someone else? Reg was clearly refering to Amsty, and I assumed you were too.
Darchinyan was a B level fighter but give the man his due.. A year ago people here (yes ESB folks) were picking him to bash Arces head in when theyre hating on Arce.. "Yeah feed him to Vic", "Vic will destroy him"..yes those were the quotes.. What does that say about Arce and Mijares win against him?
I have basicaly answered this question in a previous post. These guys are too young to assess their greatness by resume alone, you have to do a pedigree analysis and trust your gut. If Mijares was being hyped for his win over Arce, I wouldn't agree with that either.
On Ams defense(who I agree sometimes) hes got alot of followers who worships him. I find his manifestos in these boards some of the most entertaining..what galls me are the copycats..whos probably cutting and pasting his old posts...such long winded pompous asses who describes how a left hook will land if thrown at a perfect 45 degree angle..u kidding me???
even with two impressive wins, i am not yet fully sold with donaire. his timing is good and had some power. he is slick but he tends to be cocky. i did not like the spin thing that he did in the darchinyan fight. i know its just momentum but it's a no-no in boxing. let's just see what he can do in 115 where the division is loaded.
No his lackeys..and they know who they are and so do you..Its not Amsterdams fault hes a leader by default. Im more referring to this underlying sentiment here of boxing snobbery when this is a simple game..lets not try to overcomplicate it like Ice Hockey
I still don't fully understand Hockey. Anyway, you're correct. Way too many people try to overcomplicate a reatively simple sport. I see all the these long, drawn out analysis which are mostly useless.
