Will Sultan mix it up against Wlad?

Does anybody think he can pull a Sanders and counter-punch Wlad with a straight left? I guess my feeling is he's not fast or big enough to pull it off, but I'm curious if anybody thinks otherwise.

 

Nobody hits like Sanders. By the way, he fights Feb. 2nd.

And Wladimir is not cautious? What else would you call him if he extends the left lead on his opponent's face, gets that right arm guard up and puts his head in between those two arms ( see the initial five rounds against Calvin Brock)? Ibragimov makes use of his legs in spite of using reach... I would tell you that he has much less difficulty getting inside than these last Wlad opponents had - Klitschko can't sit with the jab in between his arms but on the side/back of his head due to the southpaw stance and Iggy can move right in shooting in between his arms... What I would agree with is that Wlad can float back on his toes and make Iggy fall short with those attempts. I would even tell ya that the big weapon Wladimir carries into this one is the hybrid right hook/uppercut that caught Byrd in Germany and McCline in the States - Ibragimov has no alternative but runaway from that shot to his right side ( and if he doesn't get trapped in the corner like Jameel was and against the ropes like Chris)...

I don't see any other way for Sultan to win apart from mixing it up. He wont outbox Wladimir so to put it simply he's got to go in there & hit him on the chin. The question will be whether he's prepared to take a few to land a few. I see a comfortable win for Wladimir in this one.

 

Ibragimov is not supposed to run smack into the left hook from Klitschko's right side of vision but stay behind the left hook - Klitschko has to step many times to his left to set up that shot and if it doesn't come fluid enough, Iggy just ducks underneath the 6 feet 6 inch left wing.

Sultan has a big shot believe me - rewatch the one rounder Javier Mora crumbling or Lance Whitaker diving to the ropes or Ray Austin landing on the seat of his trunks. Just that he doesn't have the size, the chin and the strength to compete physically ( trade or force the fight) with this guy... Obviously, this is a farewell fight for Iggy b.c. he would never take such a unification if he wanted to fight on in the American heavyweight systems... Most probably, Wlad is winning by a good score at the end stretch and still Iggy will not force the fight.

 

sultan will pull an upset and outclass Wlad and win UD! I think he has the right style to do that!

I like Wlad and hope he wins!
