Any fighter who gets themselves in a position to fight for a highly regarded title is not finished, imo. Lacy was simply a very brief IBF champion before and is now fighting against a higher level of oponent (excluding Calzaghe) to be a WBC title. All this done haveing undergone a crippling rota cuff injury which has removed his trademark punch.
Lacy has the heart of a lion, i dont know what you keyboard warriors are talking about. weak mentality my ass. taylor couldnt hurt OUMA, i dont think he will KO Lacy, also Taylors Stamina has been **** lately, his power will be worse at 168 also. Lacy will have a chance to KO taylor in the later rounds, Taylor has no lateral movment, he has no defense, and i feel his speed is deteriorating, Lacy has a very good chance in this fight.
He found a way to win and thats all that counts. You speak like he spent his career fighting A grade oponents or something. Anyfighter who can get themselves in a position to challenge for a WBC title is not finished imo. Particularly when they wernt operating at a higher standard of competition before.
i think jeff is just stickin around for this paid day,i fully expect him to call it a day after the inevitable loss.
Lacy does have heart and fights hard - no question. But he's at the point where he gets wobbled easily when cracked on the chin. He was extremely fortunate in his last bout against the journeyman Mendoza. Taylor is in the right place at 168 and looked decent the in Pavlik2 fight. He's still quick and will hurt Lacy early and should close the show by the 5th round. ****, I thought Manfredo edged out Lacy.:smoke :smoke
Oh, so how come he is fighting for the WBC title? Getting yourself in a position to challenge for a WBC belt sounds like a pretty good career position to be in for me. From where has he fallen exactly?
Warrior, I actually see a boxing exhibition from Taylor. I think Taylor uses his boxing skills and doesnt bang. I want to see how he looks coming off that Pavlik loss.
