Demetrius Andrade will be world champion, I have no doubt about it, and based on his potential may achieve an all-time status as well. Other US boxers didn't impress me nearly as much. And some Russian amateurs while could make an impact, but will hardly turn pro.
Hard to say really it seems to me that amatuer boxing has moved more away from the professionals in terms of style than say the 80's so its harder to adjust to the pro game. Still think there will be a few olympians who have successsful careers tho.
I think we can reasonably expect a couple to become champion. After all, it's not really that hard nowadays. A HOF'er is a stretch, but who can say? I voted for 3-4 world champions, 1 HOF'er just because I'd like to believe there will be a HOF'er in there somewhere.
I think Beterbeiv at light heavyweight is going to be an outstanding pro light heavyweight. He is solidly built, and has great speed and power. He has pound for pound potential in my book and should have some instant fans thanks to his action style. Have you seen him Seyna?! USA's Warren will medal. I have seen him before. Warren is very good. I think he will win silver or gold. I also think he can become a champion at flyweight in the pro's. Here is a link that shows you who the best-ranked fighters in the amateur ranks are: http://www.ababoxing.com/mens%20world%20rankings%20april08.html Footnote: I checked the top 20 ratings at middle weight, light heavy, heavy, and super heavy. The USA does not have any ranked guys at middle, light heavy or heavy. USA's super heavy is ranked 12th ( Hunter ) in the world. While the rating for Hunter might be a tad low, the lack of talent for the USA in the upper weights is alarming, at least from a historical perspective.
Rau'shee Warren and Demetrius Andrade are the two best U.S. boxers. Expect the Russians to do VERY well in this Olympics.
Warren and Andrade will likely produce Gold, depending on the draw. Others could be threats to medal; such as Yanez, Russell, and Williams. I think as pros; Andrade, Warren, Russell, and Wilder could all win titles at some point.
The problem for Warren is there is a pound for pound Chinese fighter in his division, and China is hosting the games. Warren might have to overcome the crowds cheers and itchy button pushing of the judges by vs home crowd favorites.

A Video link was sent to me by a poster here. PM me if you want info. And just to prove I saw it, the finals match at 91K+ had some guy do the cross thing before he fought.
