    :good

    indeed, good post.

cotto fought to the best of his ability imo and the only thing he could have done more of is clintching. either way, i see the same outcome in the rematch.

Watch his fight against Lovemore Ndou at LWW (Cotto was dragging it down the stretch).

Body shots can help to sap an opponents strength/stamina, but those shots are all part of the game; his stamina at the top level may not be up to it.

He's still a very good fighter though.

I agree, he does not have great stamina, but I do think he has pretty good conditioning. I think he recoups very well when he gets hurt is because of his conditioning. I like Miguel Cotto, i think he is very skilled and focused in the ring. He knows where to place his punches and has developed pretty good lateral movement. His punches can be very sneaky at times. He is just not good enough to beat Antonio Margarito in a twelve round fight.

I can't wait for the rematch. I don't know how you can come up with the he has his number off of one fight. Cotto was actually winning the first five to six rounds. Hopefully, he will adjust and come in with a great gameplan.

He just has to do what he did just a few minutes longer and set a better phase.Maybe holding more than letting Margarito get off. It's hard to make a case Cotto wins as most people think he will gets topped earlier.

Sorry guys, how can miguel cotto possibly beat margarito, he can't! He doesn't have the stamina, defense, heart, or durabilty to do so. Not even clinching will help him win!

Cotto gassed out as the fight went on, and I think Margo hit harder than he thought he did.

The thing is, Cotto is not the type of fighter that will sit there and counterpunch all night like Mayweather would- he's going to bang because that's what he does. He would have to be moving a lot more after sticking his punches in order to win that fight.

I bet someone that Margo would win as soon as I saw the first round, because I saw that Cotto wouldn't back down. As much as I like Cotto for that, it doesn't fit well into winning the fight with a guy like margarito.

    HE CAN BEAT HIM!

And why are you questioning Cotto's heart; Jesus Wept! The guy has proven his heart in many fights. Also, while his defence isn't PBF at his best, it is good enough.

Durability and stamina; you have point there.

People seem to remember the end of the fight; they don't take into consideration all the good work Cotto did in the early part; A Cotto win in the second fight is not an impossibility.

I'm not saying he will win (Margo will be favourite), but don't rule it out. Cotto is one of the best boxers on the planet; he can never be ruled out.

To beat Margarito you have to be an exceptional counter puncher, with a strong beard/excellent defence and good footwork.
