Will The Bakha Bullet Get Licked By A Hard Hitta? Bakhtiyar Eyubov vs. Karim Mayfield

In one of the more interesting huge step ups of the year, streaking Kazakh KO artist Bakhtiyar Eyubov in only his 11th pro fight will be taking on Karim Mayfield on the undercard of Jarrell Miller vs. Fred Kassi on Showtime on August 19th. Following in the footsteps earlier this year of fellow Kazakh Sergey Lipinets in facing Ghvamichava and Castillo, he won both by KO, Eyubov is taking a massive quantum leap up in competition. Mayfield who was recently beaten by Dmitry Mikhaylenko via shut out, on the undercard of Kovalev vs. Pascal 2, who has had a string of bad luck with losses to Emmanuel Taylor and Dulorme as well, he's now being brought in as the journeyman to build an up and coming star with. But will he follow the script or will he upset the apple cart here.

Eyubov is a beastly puncher, who cuts off the ring quite well, but does not have the greatest defense, but thus far most of his opponents haven't been of the highest quality power wise, so who knows how good his chin is, and who knows how good their chins were, so his power could be overrated as well. Mayfield on the other hand has a solid set of whiskers, and can really take a punch. So what do you all think, will Eyubov pass this major step up, or fail miserably and be brutally exposed as a limited come forward very aggressive plodder? Or will Mayfield go into this fight a defeated man and assume the role the promoters are trying to force him into?
