With all the talk about the pretty fly Whyte guy finally signing, and the fight supposingly taking place at Wembley, one thing seems to be snowed under. Fury's bad standing with the BBBoC, and his lack of a Bri'ish licence after his return to the ring. Will he get licenced, and if not, what'sthe backup plan?
The BBBoC are a farce and have zero credibility run by Head Clown Smith overseeing non accountability for years and years for refs and judges producing cards that cannot be explained simply by sheer incompetence. The money required to extinguish any issues will have been paid weeks ago.
According to Hearn he's applying to fight as a "foreign boxer". Not sure how easy it will be to fight without a BBBOC license now that we aren't in the EU...
They won't stand in the way of a sold out wembley stadium fight, that's for sure. It's all about the money!
No idea what you mean here. Fury is a UK citizen so has the right to work here, EU has nothing to do with it. He supposedly registered with Nevada so just needs the BBBoC to recognise that license and it’s done. Only reason they would refuse that is past misdemeanour which is what Hearn is clearly hinting at…
Agreed. Also he has had a BBBofC licence since his time out of the ring. It's difficult to imagine this being a barrier. Hearn is very good at setting narratives - both to build his own events and to sow doubt over others. This is clearly one of the latter.
Yeah, I don't think this will be an issue at all. The fight is far too big and the public backlash if they blocked it in any way wouldn't be worth it.
If the board of numpties try anything he will just threaten them with legal action again and they will back off, probably for a few extra quid
Hearn always does things like this. He spent months telling people Fury v Wilder 1 wouldnt happen. Seems even his cult are seeing through his nonsense now.
Didn't know he still had a Nevada license - thought he was applying for a license from elsewhere a la Haye and Chisora...
