    Clear YES!

Unique style, whether you like it or not. I like awkward styles, and I like Joe's, which I find absolutely amazing. His fighting spirit, the way he adjusted over and over again in the Kessler fight, the beating he put on Lacy, how he adjusted to Hopkins after tasting the canvas, how he fought back after all of his knockdows like the Mitchell fight or the first few rounds vs. Roy... hell... I even liked a bit (not all) of the showboating in that fight... Someone HAD TO show Roy how does it feel to be on the recieving end of that stuff, and some part of it was cool. But Calzaghe did it too much (still credit for not going to the knockdown after the cut).

He's the anti-Mayweather of the P4P list. Amazing output, smart agression, he boxes, he trades, he brawls, willing to risk winning for the crowd, tremendous heart, enough defensive holes early to make it exciting, unbelievable stamina and vastly underrated skills (great awkward jab, fantastic movement, great sense of punch estimation after a few rounds of studying etc.) For me, Calzaghe-Kessler is up there with the best fights of the last decade, from a technical-tactical standpoint.

Hell yeah I will miss this awkward master! And what a way to leave the sport!

BTW I can see most of the Calzaghe-haters voting NO in the polls. Which I find quite funny... if there's no Calzaghe, there's no more room for criticizing him or being sarcastic or talk down his fans... The fans can live with his record and the fact he retired on top undefeated, but the haters??? They will miss him more, that's for sure! :D

the americans are such tools man...

    46-0 end of.

and please place your head in the proverbial "originality bucket" if one must illicit a response to my comment,it is indeed teribbly uncouth and rather tiresome when ones inferior's address one in a manner which suggests pretensions of a higher status,i cannot converse with children and indeed the endless herds who tend to rely less on their brains and more on their food intake.

fact is the guy has gone out on top..

deal with it,all hopkins groupies can throw their **** soaked panties elsewhere now,joe beat him,hes retired and boxing will move on.

great fighter,i will miss him and so will these boards you insatiable baffoons.

Yea....I'll miss the bloke! He was pretty exciting and he definitley was a legitimate champion. His skills were top notch and for all the critisim he recv'd some was deserved but most was a bit blown out of proportion. To Joe's DISCREDIT....he never fully reached the potential his natural talent and skills potentially gave him. For too long in his physical prime he wasted yrs fighting no bodies.....he finally got the "itch" to test himself late in his career but of course it was a bit too late to really guage his full greatness. There is no doubt the man is great! But his BEST win was over a 44 yr old Bhop....Kessler and then a fairly shot Roy Jones. Not exactly the best resume compared to how his actual record looks from the outside.
