what the hell is go great about Rubio? It really amazes me that people are overrating him so much for beating the overrated Lemieux. No I will not give Chavez credit for beating him. HE SHOULD BEAT HIM!

    I already think he's "decent."

I don't think he's top 10 yet, but if he decisively beats Rubio, he def will be just that.

yes I'm not sure about the top 10 but would you agree he is top 15?
I think if Chavez won this fight and I was his promoter I'd be offering Geale a shot. That would be good. Personally I don't want to see him against Canelo as there is too much of a size difference in my opinion.

I'll never be able to get over my misgivings until he fights Martinez and while I'm not overly impressed with Canelo, that fight would earn Jr my respect.
What the **** is so good about Rubio? I already accept him as a belt holder because he's been eased into a fairly corrupt belt under the auspices of the organisation that pulled several strokes for his daddy.Nepotism at the WBC??? Never!!!

A LEGIT beltholder? WTF? :huh The belt was handed to him by the WBC, HBO and Top Rank FFS!

If he beats Rubio I will give him some credit since Rubio was suppose to be one of boxers JR was ducking. Rubio is nothing special but its a good step up in competition for JR. My real concern is how long is the WBC and Top Rank keep on feeding JR bums and "decent" competition when Middleweight is stacked with up and comers and other beltholders that are ranked in the Top 10 of the MW division. I.E. Martinez, Proksa, Sturm, Lee, McKlin, Pirog, GGG, Geale, Quillin.

The Man Is TOUGH. After the beating he took from Pavlik before giving it up after 9rounds. He has won what? 8 or 9 straight fights. He has my respect!

Lemieux overrated? WTF? Lemieux was the next coming of SRR at Middleweight :rofl. I remember people here saying that Martinez was "ducking" Lemieux and that he was such a bad ass. Now that Lemieux is a nobody that torch of unbeatable has passed on to Pirog :yep

he might be a top ten middleweight, but top ten p4p? No. he's a good middleweight and I think freddy's helping him alot, teaching him to box more. you could see it in the manfredo fight (which was stopped prematurely).he's more than a decent fighter, anyone who says otherwise is hating. if rubio bombs him out though, he takes a hit in the middlweight landscape, because rubio cannot survive sergio martinez.

Rustbelt,I respect your opinion but I'm not sure I'm getting this thread right.I already have Jr down as a "decent" fighter. There are plenty of average champions. As I said,JCC Jr is an average fighter who was the recipient of some good fortune by way of nepotism and the most corrupt of the big 4 orgs.Beating Rubio won't convince me he's much better than I already have him down as.
If I gave you the name of a Ugandan flyweight,I bet you could link your reply to Pavlik somehow!:yep
