Looks very promising to me. With Gamboa-Rios we have the type of fight we don't see anymore. Both are undefeated and hyped and instead of putting them against good contenders they will face each other while at their peak. He also said HBO won't show Pac-Floyd if the fight gets made after 2013. The sport can benefit tremendously with his attitude.
Yeah that rios gamboa fight was helped to be set up by HBO.. I remember leading up to the sign there were reports of the fight being close but in order to get the deal done they needed more backing from HBO as in $$$ so he knows what to throw money at... It should be good...
Martinez-Chavez hopefully happens on WCB late 2012. Broner vs winner of Rios-Gamboa would also be grand. Hershman should put together a single elimination 4 to 6 man tournament at MW for the right to face the winner of Martinez-Chavez. I wonder who they will try to get the winner of Hopkins-Dawson to fight.
them trying to make a superstar was a failure. i think now, they're just into paying for the best fight available.
I'm happy they are trying to showcase some fresh fighters instead of the same guys against tomato cans. I'm glad to see Edwin Rodriguez etc getting some shine.
He hired a ****** with less business savy than the LA Clippers to be a consultant. **** is going to be no better than Greenburg if he actually listens to his "consultant".
You're just pissed because you're not getting the kerry davis special anymore : "IE slick black, bore-you-to-death, Al Haymon, fight-once-a-year, get-promoted-by-hbo-as-the-next-big-thing extravaganza". Boo ****ing hoo.
No I landed your mother, tell her to do kegels to tighten that **** up, it felt like I stuck my dick in the Lincoln tunnel.
