Will the IBO wipe Mundine?

I do tend to feel that a champ should not have to fight in the new division first, except in Mundine's case he had a mandatory rematch and should have had to honour that first. Why the IBO did not enforce that I do not understand. . . .

Yeah I think I recall Phil saying Mundine fit the criteria to fight Medley but did not explain why they did not enforce the mandatory rematchat middle, why call it a mandatory rematch? a maybetory rematch?

They did enforce the rematch at MW against Geale, but Mundine vacated the belt to 'move down' to 154.

But I think that they shouldn't have agreed to put the IBO JMW belt up for grabs for the Medley fight, but I think Grange were benefitting from that as well as Mundine.

 

The IBO in recent years have strived for credibility in Australia mainly due to the efforts of their local representative.
The last couple of years has seen some positive moves by the org, putting on some big bouts and really getting their name out there.
Although I didn't agree with the sanctioning of the Mundine-Medley bout, I firmly believe that the message they sent was the right one.
Contrary to what Team Mundine may think, Sorry boys, your not bigger than the sport!
Should they ever have anything to do with Team Mundine again, imo they will undo whatever credibility thay gained by their stance.

 

The IBO lost a lot of credibility in my book by sanctioning the Danny Green V the Dominguez bum for the IBO cruiser belt when they are both light heavies then sanctioning Greens first defence against another light heavy in Roy Jones.
It was stupid because it is called the IBO cruiserweight title yet the IBO is sanctioning lightheavyweight fights between lightheavyweights for it. The fighters weighing in just above 175 to make the farce look legit.

When the fight was "re-scored" it was still a split decision but to geale, the ibo made geale the mandatory but allowed mundine a voluntary defence in between

Because Khoder demanded constantly for the representation of 3 NSW judges. Nothing more to it mate. Nothing to do with weight... unless you have further news from SBS?????

Take a close look **** HEAD. All three were inside Cruiserweight. Not the Cruiser LIMIT, and not in the LH/W division at all.
