Mayweather senior may be a good trainer but nobody can polish a turd.

 

i think hatton is too long in the tooth to be taught a different way of fighting. The most realistic expectation is probably for mayweather put in some complimentary adjustments to hatton's style.

I am sure that British fans will remember how Nigel changed trainers and went from brawler to something of an all round boxer - perhaps Hatton is trying to follow a similar path.

but to broaden his boxing brain tacticaly so he doesnt just do the same **** all the time no matter who he fight, jumping in with high imput punches head first just does not work at world class level, at that was the only thing billy grahem could teach him every single fight and also to hug your opponent alot lol, so maybe the mayweather can teach him so new game plans because to tell you the truth the game plan for the mayweather fight was a load of cack, mayweather knew exactly what he was gonna do and that is partly billy grahems fault

I dont think hatton has the boxing skills to take advantage of what mayweather sr has to offer and will probably be as good of a match as taylor and stewad was, however freddie roach in particular would have been perfect.

 

If hatton goes back to the way he fought thaxton, magee and tackie by using his jab he'll have a prolonged career and maybe mayweather snr is just the man to oversee it, I can't see hatton employing the famous floyd shoulder roll.
