If Tyson Fury can walk around at 350 pounds for over a year, drinking beer and taking cocaine, he really has no business coming back to his 2015 form. That's no one's fault but his own. It is what it is. It's not really a case of him needing an excuse for losing to AJ or whoever, if or when it happens. They'll obvious always be a question mark about how good Fury could have been if he had stayed in the game and fit, how he could have developed, if he'd had a different mindset and circumstances. Opinions will differ, as will opinions on whether AJ or wheoever could beat the Fury who faced Wlad. It's a bit pointless to talk about fights that never happened or never will happen. It'll be remarkable if Fury can even get into any sort of reasonable fighting shape. If Fury beats some top fighters and loses to one or two, those who beat him should get a fair bit of credit. If he never beats anyone decent again, I doubt beating him will count for much.
This is why Fury has to take 3 relatively easy tune up's, 1 or 2 slightly tough opponents and then go into the ring with AJ. People saying AJ will KO Fury have no idea what they are talking about. Fury has shown good recoverability abilities in his career, he has gone on to win fights he was dropped in, AJ has shown that if he throws a few high powered combinations he has a huge propensity to gas and if he gas against fury, fury will nail him
i saw like one puch that cleary landed on fury. i bet joshua would try to go all guns blazing on Fury unlike 39 year old wlad who couldnt get set and thus far just fallowed fury!
Definetly agree that ring rust wont help. However the fight is most likely to be spring/summer 19, so Fury could have 3 fights beforehand. My question is why wouldnt AJ deserve any credit for beating Fury, when the most common opinion ive seen is that AJ is too stiff and Fury would box rings around him?
