It seems now that more and more guys are saying they would want to have Pacman be tested if they fought him too...

Will that lead to a major change in drug tests conducted with boxers. Are we seeing a new trend develop quickly ?

I say the attention it gets will seriously eventually lead towards more demanding tests down the road...

I don't think it will but it definetly should. I hiope it does, we as fans deserve to know that every fighter we watch is 100 percent clean.

No It will not. Boxing is one, if not the slowest, sport to adapt to sports innovations or currently applied techniques.

For example, instant replay, how hard is it to implement instant replay to overturn certain incorrect calls by judges. How long have other sports been using instant replay and how long is boxing taking just thinkering and dicking around with instant replay.

Another example is the use of Gatorade or other over-the-counter rehydrating fluids that is used in other sports like in the NFL.

I'm a Pac fan, but he needs to shut up, take the tests, go out and kick ass or people are going to question him. Granted they can't harrass him with unreasonable test after test, but just get a legit third party testing and get on with the fight. I don't care if he's scared of needles. Tough ****. Be a warrior. And good for Timothy Bradley being ready to step up.

It's seems that most of the honest fighters in the sport who dont have nothing to hide will welcome it..

The ones who dont like it, well that says a lot.:-(

When a referee calls a cut and he says it was from a punch and not a headbutt or vice versa it can affect the outcome of the fact. Instant replay can show whether in fact the referee made the right call.

A referee calls a knockdown when it was a slip. That also can affect the outcome of the fight. If instant replay was instituted the call can be reversed.

    Understand?

Who is going to pay for it all?

Thousands of boxers world wide. Some making barely enough to get by. So who's going to pay for it? The rule needs to be all or none!!

not if he doesn't have a reason to but i bet if he fought mosley he'd ask and i bet mosley would have no problems whatsoever taking the tests too.

Dude he will never ever step in the ring with Shane Mosley if hes demanding a Pac to take random blood tests i cant even imagine what he would ask Shane to do.

btw whats the reason for him to demand pac to take those tests?

I believe it will play an important role in changing the rule later on...i don't believe it will do much anytime soon...one day though i do expect to see more in depth testing on fighters...this fight will be used in an argument to get more strict testing in 1 way or another
