Will the media recognise Ricky Hatton as the P4P#1 should he defeat Pac?

Yup,margo wasn't in the top10 when Paul beat him so is tzsyu when beaten by Hatton..duh!!!

I know that there was a time that Hatton was in the top10 p4p list and I agree at that time..But this time, there are more deserving than him and thats why in most unbias papers,he's not in there...

 

1. Arrum wanted Hatton for Cotto in 2004
2. Thats the reason for fighting ancient fighters and bums for 2years?
3. He ducked him until he was offered £30million and promptly got ko'd. Mayweather also said Hatton wouldn't fight him at 140 because he didnt want to risk his Ring Championship at 140

7. Castillo wasnt near top10 P4P
8. Collazo was in his prime and a 12round fighter, Tyszu was past it and gasping for the oxygen mask after 5rounds. Hatton weighed more than Collazo on fight night, its pound for pound not inch for inch

Fighters that have a good case to be above him: Cotto, Vazquez, Pavlik, Chad Dawson, R Marquez, Guzman

This thread has just got the point where people are making any old bull**** up (Powerpuncher is an old hand at this sort of thing)

The facts are that Castillo WAS in the The Rings top 10 P4P list at the time of the Hatton fight and Cotto was not offered to Hatton in 2004/2005 by Arum, Cotto was still very green at that time and Arums best prospect. The idea was that Hatton and Cotto build up decent records and belts and fight for "real" money later on, but then Cotto couldn't make 140 and that was that.

 

koysta was #3 when hatton beat him moron. and the ring p4p list is THE list that everyone refers to.

 

A lot of the British tabloids would call him the best in the world, and a lot of people who know nothing of boxing and believe all that they read would call him it too. But does Ricky really believe that would be the case himself? Surely he cant be that punch drunk.

Maybe it will become one of those things that if repeated enough becomes accepted as a truth. "The p4p greatest fighter in the world, Ricky Hatton". That would be great to hear Michael Buffer coming out with that

My point is that if Hatton beats Pac, there is no way in hell that he will be the p4p no.1, and this is what the thread is all about!!!

And my second point is that now RH is not in the p4p top10 and only the Brits papers and Ring mag(bias since GBP own this and almost all in their top10 are GBP promoted) put him there..And ther are way more deserving than RH to be in there!!!

He was shot to pieces coming off a gift and hadn't got a good win without cheating for 2 1/2 years, the Corrales cheated victory was 2years prior. Tyszu only beat Mitchell in his last 2 1/2 years, Mitchell was C Class and coming off a gift to Ndou

The Ring can say P4P all they want, both were well past prime and ready for the taking by most top10 opponents in their division

The Hatton nuthuggers can't handle the truth about their pasty hero, Hatton is a world class fighter, in terms of talent he isn't really top10 P4P, never was, never will be, hes simply a protected in the right place at the right time kind of fighter.
