Will the media recognise Ricky Hatton as the P4P#1 should he defeat Pac?

i'm not even going to bother replying, half of what you say you just make up as you go along, so it's pointless.

:| Did I say something bad about your hero? I post facts and items of interest, you haven't been able to dispute anything on the thread. That copy and paste job looked interesting, and again whos to say it wasnt direct from were Ray Hatton? Doesnt it make sense to look to other options if Pacman isnt available? Amir Khan if he proves himself may well fight Hatton down the line anyway

Its not like Hatton isnt above third tier opponents. We all know Hatton's dream fight for years, including after he lost to Mayweather and Baldomir: ANTURO GATTI - he talked about fighting him every chance he got

I'd be willing to debate with Powerpuncher but he makes half of what he writes up. He never gives sources and just types anything to get a reaction.

listen "kiddo" just because you say something doesn't make it fact, and as far as being undisputable, that's what i did, dispute it. you've shown no sources for your little stories, i obviously can't disprove what you say because you can't prove a negative.

i'll make it easy for you we'll take just one of your "fact's" the first one, please provide a source for arum and cotto calling out hatton when they were together at 140? if that really happened it would be all over the boxing websites and even some legitimate news sites, so a quick google should make it easy to prove me wrong. i won't hold my breath though kiddo :finger.

I can't be bothered reading through all this, just someone tell me, are people on this thread really suggesting that:

    - one win for a natural lww over a guy who has never fought at lww is sufficient to jump NINE places in the p4p rankings?

    - one win for Hatton (a natural lww) over Pacquiao (who has never fought at lww) means that Hatton is a superior boxer to Juan Manuel Marquez, Bernard Hopkins and Joe Calzaghe?

Tszyu was number 3 P4P when Hatton beat him but he was actually 2nd a couple of months before that.So if Hatton beats Manny thats still a number 3 P4P in his own weight and number 1 P4P from a lower weight, then include the 5 or 6 champions he beat plus Castillo and only one loss to a P4P champ at a higher weight.

The real problem is he is under-rated at the moment and deserves to be higher.

Show me the fighter with the better record if he beats Manny?.

I think only about 2 people in the whole thread have suggested he goes to number 1.

Cool. Where do you think he should go Blue?

I think if Ricky wins the top 7 should look like this:

    1.JMM (if he beats Diaz)
2.Hopkins (you think Calzaghe I'm guessing, so we can agree to disagree on the order of these two)
    3.Calzaghe
    4.Hatton
    5.Pac
    6.Vasquez
    7.Mosley

    Agree/disagree?

and how would you have it if hatton beat pac and then jmm afterwards?

Hatton number 1. Though if at the same time either Hopkins or Calzaghe beat the other convincingly, then that could complicate matters.
