Someone needs to sit Ricky down and explain to him the "pound for pound title" isn't linear.

Cotto (offered to him from 2004-2005) and Mayweather at 140, He turned down the FMJ fight 7 times from 2004-2006 while fighting lesser fighters, before accepting it and getting ko'd. He avoided Witter, Corley, Judah at 140 until stepping up against an old Tyszu, he even turned down his mandatory status against Corley, Judah and Harris to avoid fighting them :patsch

Are you talking about the WBA belt that many had Collazo winning? The same Collazo that Hatton promised a rematch too and ran back to 140 to avoid the fight? The same Collazo who lost every round against Shane Mosley?

Hes waited until the best moved from 140, hasn't fought any of the best at 147, and hasn't fought any top9 opponent in 140lbers boxrec rankings.

    1. Umm much much after not straight after, after unifying all belts in his division, not on the back of beating Trinidad
    2. Why Cotto and Mosley are P4P better than Hatton, both started at 135 or 140 themselves and both would kick the **** out of Hatton at any weight :silly
    3. Haye has beat Mormeck (no1), Enzo Mac (no2) and would beat no1 HW in his second division. Hatton wouldn't be in his ballpark.
    4. Your a twat :good

Everyone has an excuse for losing, including hatton who said 'if i lose no excuses', then listed about 20 after getting KTFO by a turnbuckle

You rewatch that fight. Pay attention to Collazo in his corner between rounds and also to the action in the ring. Then come back and tell me that the hand is the reason Collazo was dominated.

    imo it isn't

Who is 'the best' that moved away from 140? boxrec rankings.. jesus your losing credibility fast.

And Collazo-Hatton and Collazo- Mosley are two completely different fights. Styles make fights.

Hatton jumped up in weight and fought a good opponent in Collazo, he IS NOT a welterweight and will never be a welterweight. That's why this thread is stupid as is most of the posts in it.

Of course it isn't just like if Paulie had a good right against Hatton he'd of still lost. My point was it's easy to state something without taking everything into account.

    example Pac dominated DLH.

I'd say Pac destroyed a weight drained DLH

    1. Mayweather and Cotto, he was offered the fight at 140 a shitload of times, then his excuse for losing was '147 was a bit too much', 'the ref didnt let me cheat :|' Hattons always avoided real challenges at 140, Old Tyszu aside

    2. 2 different classes between Mosley and Hatton too

    3. Hatton weighs 155 at his 140lb fights, he outweighed Collazo by weighing 160lbs. He isn't too small at welterweight, its just he fought a better calibre of fighter

Example 2, Tyszu beat old shot versions of Tyszu and Castillo

Tzsyu was p4p 3 at the time, yes Castillo was shot but either way way he destoyed him. If you knew anything about boxing its that age is not always an indactor. Example, Mosley, Calzaghe, Hopkins etc.

Tzsyu is a great win. Can you find a source saying Cotto offered Hatton a fight please? I'm very sure it was the other way round if anything.
