Will the Oracle Arena for the Ward fight be as packed as one of the GS games?

No. But if he doesn't stop smith before 5, he should stay retired.

I am actually very interested to know how deluded MVC is on one of his defend at all costs no matter how irrational fighters. Do you think Ward vs Froch fills more seats at Wembley than DeGale or Golovkin? Do you think Ward is more exciting and therefore a draw than those two? I know Ward is a superior boxer to them all, no one denies that, but do you believe he has more fans than those fighters?

Ward couldn't sell out his living room, much less the Oracle Arena

Redundant question. Steph Curry eating a donut would get a bigger crowd than Ward v any bum. GGG - Ward would be a different story though as all the GGG fans from Ward's hometown would show up.

Ward-Bika @ Oracle Arena had 4300 bums in seats. Weak.

Ward-Dawson @ Oracle Arena did 7600. Not bad.

This is not even as "big" as Ward-Bika and it's certainly not some homecoming of the champ after a hard fought tournament like the Dawson fight was.

We're talking about a 19 596 seater arena here. How many sections are closed for Ward's fights?!???

In the meantime Golovkin rakes in 9000+ at a maxed out Stub Hub in Carson.......

    I seriously doubt that.

I'm a big fan of Ward's but he's not a top tier draw in the sport. It hasn't helped his popularity that he's been on and off the shelf for the past 3+ years. His inactivity has done a number to him building up his fanbase.

The Bay area loves their Warriors, through the good and bad. I'm almost positive that casual fans have no idea who Andre Ward is, and that's really unfortunate because he's a great, great fighter.

Aren't Warriors in NBA Finals now? I don't think Ward will outdraw that

Neither opponent should go past 5.

Stupid question not even mayweather vs manny could out draw the warriors in the oracle. The warriors is the bay areas team meaning it's the only basketball team in the bay so they was pretty much putting 20,000 plus in the oracle when they was terrible. Plus they have became one of the most beloved teams in the world & Plus they have steph curry to.

If ward can stay active & get some big fights under his belt the bay will definitely support him. Even traveling to vagas if he has a big fight there it's all about momentum. He has put more than 10,000 in the oracle before under the right circumstances he can again he probably want vs smith though

    To Drozzy:

    Ward-Dawson had about 8,500 fans, not 7600.

Could Ward sell out the Oracle Arena? Probably not. Keep in mind that Ward-Kessler drew over 10,000 fans at the Oracle Arena. He's still a big draw in his hometown.

Then there were about 881 free tickets. 7611 is the official ticket sales count.

Ward's drawing power was only 10000+ at the gate for the Kessler fight. He's declined ever since, so I'm not optimistic for him to get 10K again. Maybe people aren't entertained by him, go figure (lol).

4512 in attendance for the E-Rod fight which was after a long period of inactivity - I would expect 5000-6000 for the Smith fight, maybe 7000.
