The officials are all not only from the same country as B-Hop, they are from the same part of the country.

So it's reasonable to expect they will be biased in favor of Hopkins.

That's not true. I remember most of the American press had Calzaghe winning.

    I don't know about the Taylor-Hopkins fights.

The ref I'm sure will be fair. At least fair based upon what he sees. BHop is so crafty and hides his fouls so well that it's hard for the ref to realise there has been any wrong doing. I don't think the ref will be a factor in this fight at least I hope not.

yep, because all sports aren't rigged, with boxing being barely above pro wrestling.

While boxing has had it's fair share of corruption, when has Hopkins ever been involved in such a controversy? In fact whenever it's been a close fight Hopkins has lost as in the fights with Taylor and Calzaghe.

There is just as much chance of Hopkins getting robbed as Kovalev. It's not like Hopkins is a big draw anymore or is seen as a potentially big draw in the future like Kovalev. Anyone who seriously thinks the fix is in, is being paranoid or simply setting up their excuses in case the fight doesn't go their way.

Yep! HBO execs are probably having wet dreams at the prospects of Golovkin and Kovalev leading and headlining a new explosive era of boxing.

If anyone is getting jobbed on the cards, my money is that it would be Hopkins. In addition to the 2 Taylor fights and the Calzaghe fight, there was also the first Pascal draw.

Ah yes I'd forgotten about the first Pascal fight.

Hopkins gets a lot of hate, people seem to go out of their way to discredit him but to suggests there will definitely be some kind of corruption involved based on the actual facts is a stretch even for the haters.

A Kovalev win would be better for the TV network and boxing in general as I could see Kovalev being a big draw with his KO power. But I don't think for one minute there will be any hi jinks in the favour of Kovalev. I'll leave the conspiracy theories and settle for common sense.

Probably not. Fields has a pretty good reputation, but he doesn't have a ton of world championship experience.
