My opinion time off never hurts to many does and Juan Manual has been in to many rough fights his skills could hold him up but it might be Gatti all over.

To many tough fights in a row for Marquez to me that takes more of a toll than a semi retirement.

i get where you reference the gatti fight, JMMs footwork pales in comparison to mayweathers, so you might think JMM will just be there to get hit, but JMM has one of the highest boxing IQs in the sport so he can adapt to just about anything, including speed.

Also i don't think the time off will help mayweather as he has not been in any wars, he is a fighter who depends on reflex and timing so i think the time off will probably hurt him.

this fight is nothing more than a joke. pbf is too big for this guy. I agree marquez has had too many tough fights recently and I forsee a similar fight as the pbf-baldomer. marquez may hang for the distance due to pure heart and/or pbf being a bit rusty. I am not a pbf fan, but this fight is total gimmee.
