Why would they? I'm pretty sure Thurman, Brook, Porter, Vasquez and maybe even Vargas beat Algieri in equally dominant fashion, as well as Phil Lo Greco after a year off on a few days notice and that bad mother****er Chris Van Heerden too.
The only thing avoiding Spence are aromatase inhibitors that could have kept his nasty case of gyno at bay.
Because Pacquiao has zero killer instinct at this point, he probably could have stopped Tim in the 3rd fight and Algieri had he really tried, but KO6 still seems to be casting a huge shadow in the back of his mind.
Spence might prove to be the WW version of Gennady. Though he won't get even half the backlash for his "resume" if the big names run, and he has to fight proper top10 opponents instead.
Probably, it's better business to fight overmatched showcases. (thank you again Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter for putting the fans first)
I don't like Spence because he thinks he deserves all of the top fights. THe biggest name on his resume is a light welterweight who only got to where he is because he beat Provodnikov. Had the fight been stopped he wouldn't even be talked about today. Every fight on his resume even the journeymen are all the leftovers of better fighters. Porter will kick his ass. Spence don't like guys who hit back.
