Do you believe this fight will go ahead or are you, like me, convinced some ‘problem’ will arise and it will be called off?

Yes I think so, not that I'd put money on it.

If Fury is looking good in camp Wilder will find some problem. Wilder only agreed to this because he thinks Fury is medically unfit to fight like Ortiz, Stivern, and Arreola. Wilder is the first champ to target cripples.

By the way, I am not pretending Fury has not has his history of cancellation. He cancelled in Ustinov the day of the fight, although he had a semi-legit reason in that his uncle was dying, and of course kept Wlad in the dark for a year while he was doing blow. I honestly think that a healthy, well paid Fury will show up, although I respect anyone who disagrees. I am trusting Fury, but I do not expect anyone else to.

i don't see the point of keeping the "charade" going if it wasn't going to happen. they would just be digging themselves an almighty hole

Of course it won’t happen. No one would risk a Joshua payday.

I think so, there is always something at the back of my mind with Tyson Fury though, hes got form for dropping out of fights. There is no way Wilder takes on a fully fit Tyson Fury just like there was no way he would of ever taken on a fully fit Louis Ortiz, it took a run of Ortiz looking old and slow against weaker opposition for that fight to be made and now we have a Tyson Fury who has just got back on the train and fought 2 nobodies and not looked too good doing it.

So for Wilder the Fury fight has to be now, he cant afford for Fury to get any sharper or fitter before he faces him and Fury promised he would be a world champion by the end of 2018 and everybody, even Frank Warren schoffed at that but he seems eager to prove us all wrong and what easier way to do it than go over and beat the divisions paper protected champion. In Furys eyes this is an easy nights work.

    50/50 for me.
If it happens, I would favor Wilder by come from behind KO though.

Fury can pull out and then Deontay will face Breazeale.

Fury is not outside the laws of physics or biology. To go from where he was Dec 1st 2017 to a Wilder fight 1 year later AND do himself justice is impossible, and Fury knows it.
Maybe I'm being a total, wet cynic here, plenty of people seem happy to take this fight proposition on face value.....
But, to quote Ice Cube: I ain't the one.

    I'm not sure.

It wouldn't surprise me if Fury pulls out, but evidently he needs money right now and so will likely go through with it.

When this was first mooted I was highly sceptical because although it clearly works for Wilder, it seems like such a dumb move on Fury/Warren/BT Sport's side. After all the talk of a graduated move back to full fight fitness his first credible challenge would be Wilder. It just seemed stupid unless he's realised he's shot and just needs to cash out.

However, Barry Hearn made the point earlier on BBC that, despite what his son has said, if Fury lost to Wilder there would still be interest in the UK for him to fight Joshua later on. If the narrative is that he's been brave taking on the challenge but it turned out to be a bit too soon, then there's not as big a hit to his reputation as there might be. He could still feasibly get back in the picture. Whereas if he fought AJ and lost Wilder's side would have no interest in him whatsoever. Plus if there was ever a time that Wilder would offer a halfway decent deal its now when he needs Fury's 'lineal' scalp to try and bolster his position in talks with AJ.

So maybe there's some method to the madness and it works on his side too. So I think it goes ahead if it benefits both parties and I think it just about does. It's also gone far enough now that everyone gets hurt if it doesnt go forward.
