In this way GGG won't ever, ever have his fair-deserved shot at that lineal mw title, even if he is the WBC interim champ and the No. 1 mandatory challenger.:-:)-(

I'm curious to see how long Povetkin will wait for a shot @ Wilder's title.:think

Technically, no. The WBC has stated that C-C needs to have an agreement with K2 for title as-is and has said winner must fight GGG if an agreement is reached.

In reality, if Cotto wins... he will drop belt and goto 154. He made that weight to setup that move after all. (I'm not a MW)

If Canelo wins, he probably wont drop belt... most likely Oscar will pay off GGG with other high profile fights like Lemiuex to put off a GGG fight until Canelo develops a bit more and a Mexican PPV date is free. Another move Oscar might make is securing a Lee fight, and either get a mandatory waiver for unification from WBC for it, or just dropping WBC belt.

As long as its a MW unification fight, when a major PPV date is free and Canelo is finally ready to face GGG it will still be a huge event. GBP probably wants Sept 2016 as target for Golovkin, but it *might* happen next May. If Canelo beats Cotto anyhow.

What if that agreement is not reached, what happens ?
