Per age and physical attributes Gassiev, still quite green upon taking that lesson from Usyk, is better suited for heavyweights and actually joined the ranks years ago, to see injuries delay his rise. But he's still quite young, and he could find a mandatory shot in the next year or so, potentially setting up a rematch, once all the rematches are done and more than likely Usyk is facing Fury. But will the rematch happen? And should it, if Gassiev say blasts out a Whyte or something?
I'd say there won't be a rematch for Gassiev. 1) there was no reason for a rematch, Usyk won comprehensivley 2) Gassiev inactivity means he probably has at least a year or 2 before he get's in mandatory position - and like Hrgovic, he will be avoided like the plague by most of the top 10. 3) Usyk will rematch AJ, fight Fury (assuming he gets thru the rematch) then retire, win/lose
I believe the Gasman can make waves at Heavy with his punchingpower. The overwhelming majority of the bigger names are slower and less technically sound as Usyk and then his power comes into play. I don't think he can beat The Cat in a rematch though.
Usyk style is a nightmare for Gassiev im not interested in seeing them fight each other again i rather see them fight other fighters in Usyk case that means the winner of Fury vs Wilder for Gassiev a top 10 HW would be good.
I thought the Breidis rematch might have been on the cards down the line but MB seems content with staying at cruiser.
