Youve got to be fast to do it. And Haye, more often than not, was diving into Wlad's waistline every time Wlad cut the ring down.

    Quit clowning knucklehead.

Valuev had ZERO, absolutely ZERO ability to cut the ring off. He relied soley on buzzing his opponent with his stiff stick, then wailing on them.

Until he'd had them buzzed, he'd plod forward behind the jab.

Wlad OTOH uses footwork and a lightning fast 1-2 to close the distance. :rofl

    I disagree.

Not saying that Fury could beat Haye, (THOUGH I WAS STRONGLY IN HIS CORNER), but he certainly possesses the footwork to smother Haye inside. :think

Haye fought SMART vs Valuev. Economical, and threw to the chest of Valuev soas to make his punches score in the eyes of the judges.

As for Haye vs Fury......yeah, Haye bottled it. :good

Ruiz was a much better inside fighter than Fury is. Even the 38 yo that Haye beat.

I do think Haye didnt like his chances vs Fury and bottled it, but let's not pretend that Haye's speed was gone.
Wlad is generally and widely considered the fastest 6'5+ big man to ever lace em up, and Haye, who is 6'2- 6'4, is much faster than Wlad who is much faster than Fury. :huh

He's not terrible, he's a golden gloves champion. He just needs to be more explosive; he needs to cut some weight.

One of my favourite upcoming heavyweights, he's not the next big thing but at least he has an exciting style!!

If Wlad retires then I don't see why this Arias guy couldn't knock out the likes of Wilder, assuming he still has a belt in a few years.

Defo not a dominant champ like Wlad but it wouldn't surprise me if a >6' guy won a strap in the future at some point. Depends if a guy with the explosive aggression and skills comes through.

    He's 5'11".

So, according to the thread title, the post is perfectly relevant, and I for one, am glad he/she posted it.

I'd never heard of him before, and when I hear George Arias, I think of a 45 yo Brazilian can crusher.

This kid from the the DR, fighting out of NYC, looks like a solid prospect. :think

Yeah I was initially confused by the video as I googled him and found another George Arias.

This kid is young, only 22 - I hope he can make it in the division; with Wlad retiring sometie in the near future I think he can have more success.

This guy claims Pulev never laid a glove on Wlad.

He claims it was another hug fest.:lol::lol:

I think Haye's real height at max is probably 6''1, he had a 78 inch reach though which is relatively long.
