Exactly.... It's amazing how some fighters get a love-in around here for constant cuddling (Fury) whilst others are almost universally hated for it (Okoliepus), isn't it?

Dirty is dirty and we don't like it... Unless it's the dude that beat your favourite fraud like a rented mule and you need to believe that he's superhuman to avoid having to admit you backed a ****ing donkey.

Because Usyk does not depend on non Marquess of Queensberry tactics, does not means he is incapable of using them should Fury decide to try his leaning on tactics.

The top of his cranium to Furys face/jaw, would merely be a method to extricate himself from Furys cheating, channel his inner Rocky Marciano, , leave Fury with some bumps, bruises and may be a cut.

Nah...we like it. Within certain parameters. Is the dirty crude and obvious and without regard to convention? Cowardly even?

Or is the dirty subtle and calculating? Taking care to monitor which side of the exchange is the ref on. Calculating within the mayhem. Artful even. And then in the strategic sense...being able to take the macro view while getting your ass kicked and making the proper, measured adjustment.

Stay with me here: one of my favorite fighters Miguel Cotto got wobbled bad by Zab Judah. He was in trouble and it seems to me that he made a decision to take the lost point if it came to that when he hit Zab square in the nuts in the most egregious fashion to stave off disaster. After that, Cotto finished beating the **** outta Zab in clean and even clinical fashion.

That was grace under pressure. As a Limey you should appreciate that. It's what you guys do.

The ref and judges will heavily favor Fury. Arum will provide them the envelopes to insure it.

The problem is that clinching, holding and leaning are allowed to a certain extent - but asking anyone (including referees) exactly what that certain extent is, is akin to asking “How long is a piece of string”.

However, if Team Usyk make enough noise, it might put whoever the ref is on higher alert to strictly police the tactic - possibly eliminating all instances and threats of same.

See referee Nady heavily policing the Ruiz v Jones Jr fight. I personally think he went a bit overboard in that fight but that type of refereeing would be the ticket for Okek.

On the other hand, a ref like Tony Perez who let Ali endlessly clinch Frazier in their rematch would make Usyk’s job that much harder but still not impossible.

Who wants to see excessive holding, leaning and mauling anyway? - that ain’t boxing and any otherwise useless behemoth could get good mileage out of such tactics if there’s a ref who lets them get away with it.

If you’re happy with those tactics from the so called SHWs then you’re also happy to drift from the true essence of boxing imo - Usyk alone still represents the true essence of a great pugilist among the big men.

Fury just represents an oversized, fat Dosser applying his size sheerly and directly without displaying any where the same skill as the true King of All The Land, Oleksandr The Great.

If it’s excessive clinching, leaning and mauling you’re into, so be it. Let’s play golf but call it tennis instead.

For those that think Dubois punch that put Usyk down wasn't a low blow, YDKSAB.

The answer to the OP is that there is corruption in boxing and it depends on who the money supports. If there is big money supporting Fury, he will get the referee and judges. The ref will allow him to lean, low blow, and protect him when Usyk is looking dangerous.

If they want a Usyk win, which I doubt, the opposite will happen. They will allow for an open fight and break up clinches started by Fury etc.

Fury will be constantantly hitting Usyk on the beltline.
