How can you fail to understand such a simple sentence? I hope this is better.

In the HW division in the early 90s there was a lot of talent around. There were also loads of exciting fights. However, talented fighters & exciting fights are apparently mutually exclusive & in no way connected to each other.

Older/2nd prime Holy was slower & had less stamina but was stronger, craftier & more durable. He definitely matches up better vs Lewis than when he was at his peak.

I think the most exciting fights between them would've been early 90s Holy vs prime LL & 2nd prime Holy vs early 90s LL.

Here you go hurling insults when things aren't going your way. Brock-Wlad was NOTHING like Bowe-Holy and my criteria has not changed since the fifth post where I clarified my criteria. Unfortunately, as usual, you're trying to stray off course. So AGAIN I'll ask, who do you see on the horizon that can create an exciting fight ala Bowe-Holy? You see no one because the division is weak and Wlad fights safety first. The overwhelming consensus agrees with this.

I agree it was a wonderful fight. One of the few in the last decade at heavyweight. But it was between two contenders. I'm interested to know if anyone thinks there are any fights for the champion in the near future where he could be pushed to give us an exciting fight in the manner of Bowe-Holy or other great championship wars of the past?

Nothing is going anybody's way, its just a message board.

And I've made it clear your 5th post was lacking in details, you have just now clarified you are talking only about "Wlad" and "Wlad" alone. No two fights are alike, and I stand by Brock vs Wlad as an excellent title fight.

I gave my opinion of your question but feel free to put words into my mouth and restate your creed ad nauseam if you need that sustain yourself.

I know Sergey Lyakhovich is way far from those days when he battled with Lamon but since Brewsta did that to Wlad, just want people to keep in mind what Deontay did to Sergey Lyakhovich. In what concerns to the matter of the thread, I just don't see guys with the heart of Holyfield and the aggressiveness of Bowe anymore. First I thought Wladimir was the natural sucessor to Lewis. Then I thought Haye was the one who would put a stop to that terrible reign. Finally some of us are willing to believe Wilder will bring back the excitement dethroning both Stiverne and Wladimir and then possibly meeting Haye in a war but this is just a dream...

I think Wilder brings great excitement, but don't think he's capable of providing a great war such as Holy-Bowe vs Wlad. It may be exciting while it lasts, but I think it will be a short fight. Another thing that factors in to a lack of excitement in the division is the lack of body attack. Going to the body creates great opportunities and excitement.

The re-match between Stiverene and Areola was a good one. Arreola was in the lead and had Stivrene in some distress before he was taken out.

With Wlad out of the equation for the WBC, there could be some entertaining fights for the fans.

Stiverene vs Chisora could be a great fight.

-Norton was more than 33 and he went toe to toe all 15 rounds in a give and take affair, a must have fight for collectors such as myself Holmes-Norton. Weaver, W'spoon, even Bonecrusher, they all gave problems to Larry. I consider these along with Tubbs, Pinklon Thomas, Berbick, Page, Coetzee and Dokes as real warriors who brought excitement to the rings.

    - Yeah, but at some point both guys were marked up pretty bad, eye's shut and both had eaten so much roundhouse left hooks, overhand rights, stiff jabs and right crosses that that would never go 15 rounds. But possibly you're right Larry Holmes vs an undefeated Tim W'spoon for the WBC crown was a true brawl in 12 rounds with a very controversial SD win for Holmes.
