Does that make Tank a one and a half weight world champion given only Super feather was a proper belt that he won in the ring and the other (lightweight) was mailed to him?

Came here to say this. What Armstrong did deserves way more credit imo.

Nah..... and the belts are becoming more and more meaningless each generation. We are starting to see 2 fighters walk into a fight carrying the same title above their heads because one is a 'Super champ' or 'franchise' champ or some version of that and the other is a regular champ or something. I think about Manny vs Ugas..... both walked in with the same title. Each division has 4 titles to be had to have world champion status. And at least 2 of those titles normally award another fighter (who should just be the mandatory) a title and put Interim or whatever above it. Because of this, unless a fighter is new to the professional world and/or hasn't achieved a world title status yet, they don't really shoot for the belts over maximizing their purse. For example Ryan Garcia whom, for some reason, an abundance of fans LOVE. He has yet to win a world title. He had an opportunity to get one vs Haney & he did everything he possibly could before weigh ins to make himself ineligible to win that title even after a victory, yet he feels he had a great accomplishment that night.....

Even with Manny's 8 division championship caliber, he is still belittled by many fans as not being as great as (whatever fighter(s) in the past that they choose). So, with that, what is the motivation for any up and coming fighter to even shoot for that record when fans don't even value it

Pacquiao has a case to be the greatest ever. The longer he is retired, the more I appreciate him

I'm a Floyd Stan and greatly appreciate his skills. However, manny was a whirlwind. His great fights vs barerra, morales and marquez early on. Then he went on an absolute reigin terror climbing through the weights

Guy was a phenom. I don't have him as the GOAT, but respect that opinion and wouldn't argue too hard against it

    Sensational fighter

Between Ozempic, and the proliferation of bogus titles (and divisions) I wouldn't be surprised to see a 10 division champion at some point.

Even if we don't look at the alphabet belts that lost a lot of value, he's the only 4 division lineal champion along with Floyd and has the claim to being the one and only 5 division lineal champion.

Hate to be THAT guy but its especially relevant that Manny DID avoid drug testing for PEDs for ~5 Y E A R S while achieving things in boxing none have done.

For me, I will always review Mannys accomplishment with an asterisk. That is not the same as RJJ who I completely discredit because he actually tested positive, but Manny had a lot of the same strengths and accomplishments as Roy so his refusal to prove he did it clean will forever be an asterisk.
