Will there ever be another series like ESPN's old Friday night fights?

@howard29 thread about the old HBO boxing made me think of this. Regular televised fights that were well matched between B and C level type of fighters. You think we might see something like this again?
I reckon Paulie Maliignaggi would be a great color commentator for something like this.

ProBox is kinda' doin' it on Wednesdays. They have pretty good boxing newscasts as well. 18 bucks for a year subscription or watch it on youtube.

Paulie's a great color commentator anywhere probably why no network will touch him. Too honest, too accurate, too transparent, too real.

Not sure we'll see the like again. I was never a fan of the espn friday night fights crew but decent fighters and fight action.

There were many good fights back in those days. Morrison used to be featured on ESPN a lot in his early days and when he was on the comeback after his first loss.

It was fine, if you could stand listening to Sean O'Grady. Every other phrase was "speed is power". LOL.

Bradley is serviceable, if not annoying. Should have never gotten rid of Atlas. He's forgotten more about boxing than Bradley or most others will ever know.

USA's Tuesday Night Fights was always superior to every incarnation of ESPN's boxing.

One of the greatest gimmicks in Tuesday Night Fights history was when they asked viewers to call in and vote for who they wanted the undefeated Oba Carr to face next.

Livingstone Bramble won the call-in vote.

    So they made the fight.

    And it was GREAT!

Can you imagine ESPN asking viewers to vote on who Jalolov should fight next ... and he fought the guy?
