If y'all remember, the heavyweights were a ghost town when Tyson, a dominant champ, was on top. Guys like Renaldo Snipes, Orlin Norris, and Adilson Rodriguez topped the ratings. Even good quality fighters were not percieved as legit threats: Foreman was an old man, Holyfield a blown up crusier, Ruddock a guy who had lost to Dave Jaco, etc. It all changed in one night when a club fighter with four losses beat the unbeatable champion, and soon, everyone was convinced they could be the champ and came out of the woodwork looking for a shot. Add in a good crop of amatuer talent such as Lewis, Bowe, Mercer, and Morrison, and Moorer coming up from LHW, and this is what gave birth to the 90's, the best era ever. Can such a thing happen now, with Fury, Wilder, Povetkin, Joshua, and Parker actually fighting each other. Who might come back to contribute? Might we see Peter, Ibragimov, or even Vitali come back for more?
