...at 205 lbs?....or will Couture fight Machida for the UFC title because Silva won't.

I hope not. The punches that Coleman landed had me worried for Couture. He doesn't have the chin to last against Anderson.

Is this the same Couture that Lazy Vera almost tore a hole in his midsection?

Dana lets this happen, he doesnt care about his fighters.

I will say this though. If they make this fight I think there is an enormous chance that Anderson puts Randy out on his shield and retires him. That said, if Randy fought THIS fight and won against Anderson Silva, if he won against Anderson at this ridiculous old age going in probably a 7 to 1 underdog he would solidify in granite his already assured place in MMA history. It would be the greatest upset ever I think by the king of upset wins.

I can actually see Randy pinning Silva to the cage maybe in his prime. But man Silva is so deceptively strong and live. Hes a big boy, too damn dynamic and he knows how to stall for a restart. And this is when Randy gets demolished, the time hes trying to clinch and close the distance.

Oh no doubt a prime 205 Randy is a different story. I would still favor Anderson but can see how Randy could make a damn good fight of it.

Yeah he's a warrior, Nog beat the crap out of him but he got in his licks. It a bit under the radar but Couture is becoming the new Mr. excitement. I mean from Sylvia on, hes been on a roll with exciting fights win or lose.

if couture can get the fight to the ground then anderson will be in new territory, although i think he beat vera he fought the wrong fight IMO! but credit to him for chosing to stand and fight,i wouldnt recommend that against silva though...

expand on this - I would think there are 2 people in mma that dont have a problem with any style per se - fedor and silva and possibly machida

unless you meant that it wont be an interesting fight ?

Silva by sickening early KO. Randy's chin is not what it was, and Silva is too fast and accurate.

Couture is old. Someone who can time him or outspeed him will nail the **** out of him. I envision a rangey guy like Silva raking Couture and not many need to land flush for it to be sleepy time for Couture.

I think the Couture who fought Liddell 1 would be good against Silva but I do think Couture has aged and slowed down.

A prime couture has a shot vs Anderson Silva but the couture of today get Koed by the first blow landed by Silva.
