Oscar de la Hoya has a great dislike of Pacquiao. He cannot handle being beaten by a small humble asian man. These comments come out of jealousy.

that will work, i think roach will be the most pissed, i would love to see round 2 of roach v floyd snr in 24/7.

  5. Clottey being big is now something that's an achievement?

Clottey did nothing in that fight..

Floyd dominated his biggest challenger, Manny got taken to the brink, twice.

Mosley is probably a better fighter than anyone Pac has beaten, and there was a CLEAR difference in class between Floyd, and the #1 ranked welterweight and also #3 ranked p4p in the world.

Manny is a great fighter, however - Floyd is better in my view, for me - has to be the best fighter in the world right now, and probably best of the era.

  6. Regarding first point - had Floyd have never "retired", and just not fought, or fought someone of no great importance - would people have elevated Pac over Floyd based on what Pac has done last 2-3 years? I'd be inclined to think so, based on what has been said, it was argued that Pac was more deserving than Floyd even just after the PBF/Hatton fight...

I'm also fairly sure that fighters have taken over the #1 spot despite the original #1 not losing beforehand in the past...

At this point - does it realy matter anyway?

They're the only two in contention - and they need to fight..

Manny should just take the tests and settle it in the ring...

    NO. Cotto beat Mosely already.

And Pac has had success in MORE weight divisions. He is also a smaller man dominating TRUE Welterweights, which is an achievement in itself.

Add to that he has already had his 'golden age' when he was fighting and beating true HOFers such as Barrera, Morales etc.

Trying to convince yourself of that?

Mayweather's victory last night is more impressive than anything Pacquiao has done since his split decision victory over Marquez.

    Mayweather, without a doubt, is P4P #1.

Favorite line from The Wire: "The king stay the king".

    Floyd is the king.

Floyd was #1 when he retired. PAC moved in and kept the spot warm for him. I can understand not considering Floyd #1 after he came back and beat JMM, but now that he is 100% back in the game and just took out the top welterweight, he gets his crown back.

PAC has to just take the tests and sign the contract. Really. If he loses, he can blame the tests. If he doesn't take them, then it is HE who is denying the fight fan community of what they want; not Mayweather.

He beat a guy who had a big layoff and was 38 years old. Let's get some perspective here.

  11. The top ranked Welterweight in the world, and #3 P4P?

Lets face it - Floyd has had one fight in 2.5 years before last night, Mosley was one in 15 months...

    Perspective no?

He beat Marquez who was coming up 2 ****ING WEIGHT CLASSES. AND Floyd came in OVER WEIGHT as WELL. That was a farce of a boxing match, worse than DLH-Pacquiao. It just doesn't count.

The win over Mosley was impressive but then if you count the fact that Mosely hadn't fought in almost 2 years and was 38 years old it puts it into perspective.

Mosley didn't do anything agaist Floyd either, except in round 2 where he exposed Floyd's chin, but after that he really showed his age and didn't throw nearly enough punches. Both Pac and Floyd have severely outclassed all their recent opponents. I don't think we can say who is better until they actually fight.

Manny DOMINATED Cotto Very Impressively. Cotto beat Mosely.

Manny beat all of Mayweather greatest wins much more impressively than MAyweather.
