I'm guessing no, but wouldn't that be awkward? Has there ever been a major prize fight where one fighter's national anthem been played but not the other? Personally I think they should play it.
I did some searching online, and apparently it won't be played and Bivol will not be allowed to carry the Russian flag into the ring. So I guess I answered my own question, still would be interested if people think it should be played or not.
I think there shouldn't be any National Anthem's played in boxing at all. At the actual situation it is not easy to be a russian athlete and playing there national anthem would make it worser for the athlete. So it shouldn't be played.
I assumed we were going to see more about Bivol's Korean mother, watch him eat kimchi, etc. Maybe something about his Kyrgyz birth? The anthem of Kyrgyzstan is a sleeper hit. Weird and disappointing they booked a dangerous and interesting opponent, if God came down and said the officiating would be fair I think he'd be even money, and they're treating him like a scrub from nowhere in every aspect but PPV price. Boxing can't win even when it wins.
I think it's hypocritical to ban just the Russian one so let's just skip all anthems and bloated ring walks and get to the fight

If they do not play the Russian National anthem then they should not play the Mexican or USA ones either.
I just think they should sing the thing that lady sang in the Zoo/Judah ring walk for all fights. No anthems except that one. I can't remember the country that came from but that.
They shouldn't, it's been the anthem since Putin became president, and it should be reverted back to the 90s anthem anyway The only way is acceptable if they bring out the anti war flag and play the 90s song This content is protected
