Will to win - which of the top fighters has most of it?

well, pavlik got KD'd in the first fight w/ taylor but recovered to KO taylor. i guess a lot of people beat me to this...

Man Izzy Vasquez just wouldn't be denied against Rafa in their 3rd fight. That 12th round was one of the greatest performances ever.

If you have the will to win...and lose....does that count? I know it KILLS the idea of this thread but Fernando Vargas has to be up there. He got up 3-4 times against Tito and literally died on his feet there.

His nasty lump against Mosley to keep on fighting.

His insane bravado against ODLH.

Just tons of examples where Vargas would've rather died than lose...even though his body just couldn't continue.

 

David Haye- Did you see the Mormeck fight?? Haye had to come back from hell to KO Mormeck.

Miranda- As evidenced in fighting Pavlik, you would literally have to kill Edison to stop him. Only the ref can call it off first.

It has to be either Vasquez, Cotto, Hatton, Calzaghe or Pavlik... I would also mention McCullough and Holyfield if it was about fighting heart and sacrifice... And would mention Hopkins and Mayweather if it was about professionalism, cold-blood and mental toughness.

Floyd Mayweather and Bernard Hopkins. The difference is, these guys do it outside of the ring. In the Gym, running, studying, etc. That says a hell of alot about their will to win. Then, they make the job look easy in the ring cuz the works already been done outside of the ring..ya dig??

 

Samual Peter, gets dropped 3 times. He gets up to win the fight, after the fight he was asked....did you think you were going to continue, and peter says I have the belt to defend!! That is heart my friends
