I'm really feeling an upset here.

Judah has looked excellent in his past two fights (against opponents who didn't punch back).

This guy will PUNCH. He's got tremendous power, although untested against tough opposition but since when has Judah been known to having the best resistance?

I feel Matthysse will catch up to him sooner or later and honestly feel that he'll send Judah into retirement.

    Your thoughts? :think

I know it seems like I'm building up a lose/lose situation for Judah, but I'm confident that if Matthysse is worth the hype and his record isn't exaggerated, he'll win. If Judah wins though, then I'm not sure how much it means because Matthysse will then be seen as like his brother, a guy with a great record but not much else.

A bit harsh, I know, but I'm looking forward to it.

That's a very bold statement, HomoJerome.

    We shall see.

Not harsh at all. I agree 100%.

At least Judah is getting his chance to fight back on HBO :good

So you think Matthysse is worth the hype but if Judah wins he becomes crap :patsch

Matthysse is not only a prime puncher, but brings lots of pressure, tight defense and slips shots in the way in to land his own shots, nice body attack and combinations. Hes a good fighter, just how good is the question

Nice match up, pity it isn't on in the UK, the winner deserves a title shot imo

No, it's just that Mattysse is hardly a notable fighter to have on your resume.

Just like Khan-Maidana. Although it's made, Maidana is not a household name at all and brings really, **** all credit along with the fight so people won't see it as a huge win at all, just like they (the casual public) wouldn't see Matthysse a big win for Judah.

No, even if he loses badly (early KO) and loses the fight after that Zab will fight on... And if he still can make a decent payday why should he quit?!
But moreso I expect him to be (become) the type of boxer who really doesn't call it a day until he either gets ripped to pieces by a low level journeyman or his licence will be revoked.

But the fans know both these fight are real fights, just because neither are cross over names doesnt mean as fans we shouldnt know the difference, that they are live bodies and threats. Neither are likely to be great names you can talk about years after, but they top dangerous contenders and not simple set up jobs

I'm sure the detractors of either fight will say 'that fighter was never anything in the first place', but thats what haters do

This 1 is interesting because Mattysse brings similar pressure to the likes of Cotto, but this is Judahs last chance and hes back at his optimal weight

Khan has a weak chin, he is fighting the hardest puncher at 140 who knocked out top prospect and highly regarded Golden-Boy fighter Victor Ortiz. It will be a very big win, the best anyone has recorded at 140 in recent times, and the most significant win on Khan's resume. This will be the fight where he proves himself to the doubters.
