As we recall both Top Rank and Golden Boy went head to head on September 15th of this year, will it happen again?

I remember Dan Rafael said in September that it could happen again on Cinco De Mayo weekend on Jim Lampley's show The Fight Game, now I don't think they will but nobody thought both GBP and TR would have gone head to head back on September 15th and in the same city at that.

    What's yall thoughts on this?

I think Arum is smart enough not to punt against a card with both Mayweather and Alvarez on it.

I agree, but if Arum can have Marquez vs Brandon Rios as his headliner, he just have enough gall to go against the GBP card on May 4th.

Granted its a long shot cause Marquez hasn't decided if he's not going to retire and even if he doesn't, a May 4th date might be too soon for him to fight again.

I saw an Arum interview a couple weeks ago and he says he won't go up against a Mayweather ppv. Anybody else he would though.

The only card Top rank can put together that would **** with GBP's May 4th card.
(With Alvarez & Mayweather headlining would be...)

    Marquez Vs. Bradley
    Rios Vs. Pacquiao/Alvarado II

    Garcia/Salido winner Vs. [Insert]
Miguel "Too Slick for TV" Vasquez Vs. [Insert]

Add any of the following names on the card.
    Diego Magdaleno
    Jessie Magdaleno
    Jose Benavidez
    Jessie Vargas
    Oscar Valdez
    Jose Ramirez

I hope they do... Means they would both stack their cards heavily..

they probably will go head to head. I don't know why.. They should do the old fashioned flip a coin to see who gets to have the ppv on that day.

IF Schaefer takes this to his buddies at Showtime expect HBO to put up a money for a low level card just to be pissy. I expect May to be on HBO though.

I saw this interview too. Unless Pacquiao fights Marquez on that date then they have no chance - they'd still have no chance.

Hopefully TR will give us a stacked card the weekend before or after the more boxing the better but on the same day is silly.

I doubt Floyd fights on Showtime, whatever you think about him, he's very loyal.

Like I said, it was the only long shot scenario I could see TR putting up a card that weekend and it was pretty far fetched.
