Let's see how happy you are when we have a unified champion in Wladimir Klitschko. He's going to be the first to KO Sultan and then either Chagaev or Peter, or maybe even both. I think that will add to his legacy a bit doncha think?! :yep

Then he will have re-established the lineal Heavyweight Championship & that has to count for a lot of legacy points. He'd be a legend. ****in' famous I tell ya!

What I can't understand is all these boxing fans rooting AGAINST Peter. If he takes Oleg out in impressive fashion and wins the title, it will be GOOD for the sport, and will generate a little bit of much needed attention.

Fortunately, I think this is exactly what will happen. I expect Peter to take glass-jawed Oleg out in the first or second round, in impressive, Jeremy Williams-like fashion.

Keep dreaming RUSKULL, you might get your wish with him beating Iggy, but I dont see him getting anymore titles. I know you dont want to believe this, but I will say it anyway. History will repeat itself, that means Wlads glass chin will be exposed again, and either Peter or Povetkin will be the fighters to do it.:yep

Scam Cheater has lost to every good heavyweight he has faced and almost lost to one of the worst contenders ever to challenge for a belt and lose every time...Jameel McWhiner.

Oleg by Decision, but he hits hard enough to TKO Glass Cheater.

Oleg is too rusty, and that alone will hinder his performance.

Great post, I fully agree. Though I see Peter knocking out Maskaev out in the 3rd, either way Maskaev's losing. I dont understand the hate entirely, but I have come to find out most of it comes from the Wlad nuthuggers, who I believe are still mad about how Peter was the last fighter to hurt and knockdown Wlad in the ring, making him look fragile in weak at times during there match in 05.

Oleg will get his stupid looking ass KOd. Don King will give Sam the good training he had for the second Toney fight.

Beat the crap out . . . means handily or easily or one sided?

I'll say it's highly unlikely. It's gonna bea 50/50 fight with Peters having the advantage . . . Maskaev is just about ready to retire friend. He is old and slow.

Oleg is donne as a top boxer, I think his win against Rahman was his last (maybe only) great showing.

If he couldn't KO Okhello, it's highly unlikely he will be able to do it against Peter.

Oleg is a skilled vet, rather slow, but he could pull some rabbits out of the hat to beat Peter, just not by KO/TKO.

Anyway, I believe Peter will win this one.

Yeah, with illegal blows to the back of the head. Aside from that he was outboxed for almost every minute of every round in that fight - as well as being badly wobbled once.

Most people felt Toney won their first fight.

Peter was KD 3 times against McCline.

Peter has never KOed anything but fringe contenders at best. His claims to fame are vicious KOs over weak opposition like Jeremy Williams, one real win against Toney and the knockdown he got against Wlad (two of which were from illegal blows).

I don´t feel I´m out of line in my opinion of Peter being overrated.

    WAY overrated.

I think this fight has been postponed more times than any fight I can recall. Its been so long that they've been working on getting this fight going..............wasn't it originally supposed to happen back in the late 90s?

    It seems like it.
